I like taking a commander that everyone thinks they know what to expect from like Kaalia and going just enough off the normal build to be surprising. Of course that means I probably don't have an optimal build.

In this case I went with a token sub-theme, as well as anthem effects and things that synergize with Kaalia like Fervent Charge and Ankle Shanker.
