Shattering Blow Discussion

What do you call that? A Goblipede?

Thanks Cajek. I imagine if you get an Aberration down and start swinging a Scepter or two, things would swing your way quickly. Wicked combo against aggro decks with low land counts. And if you found room for Flight or Invisibility, the Aberration will be a huge evasive beatstick. Cards like Drain Life abound in black and can buy you those extra turns against aggro to get set up and outclass them.
I've not finished my ideas for the Sideboard yet, but the 3 cards identified so far (Blood Moon, Elixir of Immortality, and Shattering Blow) would be pretty helpful in this matchup. I've given no thought yet on what they would swap in for, though.

Here are some suggestions off the top of my head. You are at 63 cards. And I'm fairly sure we've had the 60 card discussion before. :D
Consider the following changes:
-1 Bomber Corps
-1 Lightning Strike
-1 Thunderous Wrath
That drops you to 60 without any major changes to the the deck.
Here are some other cards I want you to consider:
Crash Through and Faithless Looting for card draw.
You are going to need a sideboard for more competitive environments. And the sideboard also works for testing maybe cards. Take a look at Legion Loyalist, Stonewright, Tormod's Crypt, Electrostatic Bolt, Smelt, Shattering Spree, Shattering Blow, Monastery Swiftspear, Skullcrack, Collateral Damage, Barrage of Expendables, Pyrite Spellbomb and Searing Blood as either main or sideboard cards.
Sideboard suggestion:
3 Tormod's Crypt
3 Smelt
2 Searing Blood
2 Slagstorm
2 Shattering Blow
3 ???, not sure on this one.
Let me know what you think.

- Revoke Existence
- Shattering Blow
- Elvish Scrapper
- Fragmentize
- Disenchant
- Dissenter's Deliverance
- Naturalize
- Seal of Primordium
I just cherry-picked the decent 1 or 2 mana ones.
Hope it helps.

Vandalblast seems good over Shattering Blow. I'd also cut Isochron Scepter for some kind of Fog effect, to protect yourself from early aggro.
If it weren't so much mana, I'd suggest Mycosynth Lattice...

Please refrain from starting a fire fight. The fact you believed I am inexperienced shows that you yourself are. I have been playing since Lorwyn. That means I have 9 years of experience. And currently I am in an area where getting an Arcbound Ravager is like winning the lottery.
Netdecking (I don't mean to offend) is for players who have no concept of building a deck. I originally started out with Just coloured artifacts and it managed to race Naya Zoo (mainly to to having big creatures).
Then I switched the deck to run 4 copies of Salvage Titan and 4 copies of Disciple of the Vault. This gave me a turn 1 6/4 and essentially bolting my opponent. This version worked amazingly until the meta changed and that is when I noticed that card disadvantage is a good way to lose.
I personally believe that Arcbound Ravager is an overrated card just like Tarmogoyf. Ravager is great until someone uses Path to Exile, Anguished Unmaking, Unmake, Abzan Charm, Selesnya Charm, Shattering Blow, Utter End, Kolaghan's Command, Ancient Grudge, Bant Charm, Destructive Revelry, Disenchant, Natural State, Nature's Claim, Naturalize, Oxidize, Rakdos Charm, Shattering Spree, Sultai Charm and Sundering Growth. All of which are used in my area. Dumping my artifacts into a Ravager is suicidal and I will not do it.

Lash Out is probably my favourite budget burn spell for lists like this, but I've found Flame Jab/Geistflame/Burning Vengeance to be a fun package for ultra-budget burn making use of the discards and filtering lands. I'm a fan of Electrickery/Inflame, Earthquake, Firespout, Slagstorm, Street Spasm, Pyroclasm, Kindle the Carnage, Volcanic Fallout, Martyr of Ashes for crowd control. Fiery Gambit, Incendiary CommandThe big thing with budget lists is always sideboard- Aura Barbs, Boil, Empty the Warrens, Ingot Chewer, Molten Rain, Rending Volley, Roast, Shattering Spree, Weight of Spires, Sudden Shock, Smash to Smithereens Tormod's Crypt, Dragon's Claw, Bottle Gnomes and Shattering Blow can all find their place. Burst Lightning is a cheap shock upgrade and Furnace Scamp can be more efficient than a bolt if you are removing blockers. Unstable Footing/Wild Slash is pretty useful for that final push.
