Shattering Blow Discussion

If it weren't so much mana, I'd suggest Mycosynth Lattice...

Please refrain from starting a fire fight. The fact you believed I am inexperienced shows that you yourself are. I have been playing since Lorwyn. That means I have 9 years of experience. And currently I am in an area where getting an Arcbound Ravager is like winning the lottery.
Netdecking (I don't mean to offend) is for players who have no concept of building a deck. I originally started out with Just coloured artifacts and it managed to race Naya Zoo (mainly to to having big creatures).
Then I switched the deck to run 4 copies of Salvage Titan and 4 copies of Disciple of the Vault. This gave me a turn 1 6/4 and essentially bolting my opponent. This version worked amazingly until the meta changed and that is when I noticed that card disadvantage is a good way to lose.
I personally believe that Arcbound Ravager is an overrated card just like Tarmogoyf. Ravager is great until someone uses Path to Exile, Anguished Unmaking, Unmake, Abzan Charm, Selesnya Charm, Shattering Blow, Utter End, Kolaghan's Command, Ancient Grudge, Bant Charm, Destructive Revelry, Disenchant, Natural State, Nature's Claim, Naturalize, Oxidize, Rakdos Charm, Shattering Spree, Sultai Charm and Sundering Growth. All of which are used in my area. Dumping my artifacts into a Ravager is suicidal and I will not do it.

Lash Out is probably my favourite budget burn spell for lists like this, but I've found Flame Jab/Geistflame/Burning Vengeance to be a fun package for ultra-budget burn making use of the discards and filtering lands. I'm a fan of Electrickery/Inflame, Earthquake, Firespout, Slagstorm, Street Spasm, Pyroclasm, Kindle the Carnage, Volcanic Fallout, Martyr of Ashes for crowd control. Fiery Gambit, Incendiary CommandThe big thing with budget lists is always sideboard- Aura Barbs, Boil, Empty the Warrens, Ingot Chewer, Molten Rain, Rending Volley, Roast, Shattering Spree, Weight of Spires, Sudden Shock, Smash to Smithereens Tormod's Crypt, Dragon's Claw, Bottle Gnomes and Shattering Blow can all find their place. Burst Lightning is a cheap shock upgrade and Furnace Scamp can be more efficient than a bolt if you are removing blockers. Unstable Footing/Wild Slash is pretty useful for that final push.

Okay, so this sideboard advice is mainly coming from my experience as a white weenie player. I'd try 2 Selfless Spirits in the board to have some defense against board wipes and to have some flyers in match ups where that might be relevant (like having them as a last resort to block Affinity's Inkmoth Nexus so you don't totally get obliterated out of nowhere). Next, I'd try 2 Stony Silence to shut down Affinity, Tron, Eggs, Thopter/Sword, and other artifact based decks like equipment builds. Then I'd consider 1 Gaddock Teeg as it cripples decks running Collected Company, decks that need to board wipe you to win, and decks with planeswalkers such as Tron and Bant Superfriends. For all of this I'd get rid of the 2 Hunt the Hunter, the 2 Pyroclasm (I think this card would effect you far too much to be of much use anyway), and the 1 Shattering Blow.

Since you (quite rightly) fear Torpor Orb, perhaps you should run some stuff to remove it if you run into it? Krosan Grip, Return to Dust, Revoke Existence, Fade into Antiquity, Shattering Blow, Angelic Purge, Fate Forgotten, and more would all make good counters to a card that single-handedly hoses your deck. You probably also want some stuff to remove Hushwing Gryff since it too hurts you badly.

Anax and Cymede? Neat choice. But I see you're over the deck limit, and some of your cards could be replaced.
You don't have enough card draw to need Thought Vessel. Mind Stone or Coldsteel Heart is a better 2-mana rock. Also lose Springleaf Drum; you want to attack with your creatures, not tap them for mana.
Kabira Vindicator, Hand of Justice and Foundry Champion all cost too much for what they do. Better options are Soltari Champion, Pianna, Nomad Captain and Catapult Master, but you might not have enough soldiers to use Catapult Master to the fullest. In any case, don't run Hand of Justice.
You don't have enough +1/+1 counter stuff for Elite Scaleguard to be worth it, but that can be remedied with some more bolster and outlast cards like Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Abzan Falconer. I think the Scaleguard could really shine in this deck with the right support.
Zada, Hedron Grinder is kind of like a backup Anax and Cymede. Note that the copies won't trigger your heroic guys cuz copying and casting aren't the same. But I'd cut all the heroic creatures anyway, except Phalanx Leader and maybe Fabled Hero.
Peace, and have fun Borosing

if you cut Captain of the Watch and Benalish Commander for some Raise the Alarm,Mentor of the Meeketc. You may want to use cards like Akrasan Squire, Boros Elite, Favored Hoplite, Soldier of the Pantheon Jotun Grunt, Thalia's Lieutenant, Sometimes Loyal Cathar Flip,Crib Swap and Unmake will find a place. Condemn can replace swords to plowshares. The main thing is to have a solid sideboard- Dryad Militant, Kor Firewalker, Celestial Purge, Hushwing Gryff, Sanctimony,Paraselene, Shattering Blow, Tormod's Crypt Sundering Growth and Burrenton Forge-Tender depending on your metagame, Much love for Blind Obedience and Suppression Field. The non budget recs are more obviously Kytheon, Hero of Akros Flip, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Path to Exile.Just swap the legacy utility lands for something modern and fun and you're good to go.
