A casual (NOT SUPER CASUAL, but probably not very competitive), aggressive deck. Includes all the fun devour cards, has voltron themes and wide token game play. Set view to "multiple" for some more context with some of the categories.

This write up is very WIP but hopefully gives a brief view of the deck.

Main Concept

Make tana big and swing, get lots of saprolings. When saprolings are made, get lots of counters (ie Grumgully the generous) Use Reyhan to move counters from other creatures onto Tana, resulting in more saprolings.

Voltron (Tall)

Lots of equipment and other utility allow for tana to effectively attack into other boards, being either powerful enough to not be blocked or evasive enough so that she can't be blocked. A lot of the time, tana will get shut down, and wont be viable to play. There are other effective voltron targets in the deck, ie. Kresh the Bloodbraided, who can clutch the game in a pinch.

Tokens (Wide)

From attacking, tana creates a lot of tokens, which makes for very effective chump blockers, diminishing opponents attempts at swinging back after tapping tana. We get the benefits of going wide too, with mass placement of counters as well as other on death effects.

Combos

This deck purposely lacks any infinite combos as a design choice, but here are some strong lines of play.

  • Xenagos, God of Revels + Seize the Day: Multiplicative power/toughness, 2 power creature becomes 4, then 8, then 16 after 3 combat phases.
  • Basilisk Collar + ( Deathbringer Thoctar or Ulasht, the Hate Seed ): Ping creatures to destroy them (Deathbringer can lock down the entire board, as it will gain back the counter used to kill the creature).
  • Basilisk Collar + Chandra's Ignition: Kill all creatures other than target (deathtouch + source of damage is creature). Gain huge amount of life based on total damage dealt.

Interactions

  • The Ozolith + Reyhan, Last of the Abzan: Both effects trigger. Reyhan creates additional counters (doesnt move them), then the ozolith moves the existing counters off the creature.
  • The Ozolith + Winding Constrictor: Snake triggers both when the counters are moved onto the ozolith, and when they are moved off the ozolith onto a creature.
