Seems like a solid start. I'm sure there will be more good -1/-1 stuff when HOD is fully spoiled. Right now, I see the deck doing three things:

Counter manipulation: Distribute counters en mass with cards like Harbinger of Night , Carnifex Demon, Soul Snuffers , and Midnight Banshee. You can also load your own creatures up with Persist, whether it's inherent like with Thunderblust or Puppeteer Clique, or from Cauldron of Souls. It leads to card advantage, due to the death triggers from The Scorpion God . You can also make Undying creatures like Flayer of the Hatebound or from Mikaeus, the Unhallowed effectively immortal, since the next -1/-1 counter cancels the Undying +1/+1 counters. Some Proliferate stuff and other tricks make this the core of the deck. The most ridiculous thing you can do is draw your deck with Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs. With The Scorpion God out, you kill a creature with a counter, and you draw your deck by repeatedly producing insect tokens and killing them with transferable -1/-1 counters.

Demon tribal: It's minor, but Blood Speaker and Mark of the Oni are both powerful here, and there are a lot of demons like Archfiend of Ifnir that naturally want inclusion in the deck. An powerful line of play that can be initiated with nothing but Blood Speaker in your hand is Blood Speaker -> The Scorpion God -> Archfiend of Ifnir -> Blood Speaker -> Malfegor , essentially wiping the board, wheeling your hand, and leaving you with access to a grip full of demons.

Sacrificial dorks: Cards that leave behind bodies that die with -1/-1 counters effectively replace themselves. I've chosen Big Game Hunter, Yuki-Onna , Magus of the Wheel, Burnished Hart, Release the Gremlins, Mindclaw Shaman , and Dualcaster Mage over spell equivalents for that reason. Yuki-Onna can get on a loop with Bloodghast, which allows you to dispose of artifacts at will.
