Blood Speaker

Creature — Ogre Shaman

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may sacrifice Blood Speaker. If you do, search your library for a Demon card, reveal that card, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

Whenever a Demon enters the battlefield under your control, return Blood Speaker from your graveyard to your hand.

In my last comment suggested a lot of cards to add, now here's some cards to consider cutting. For cards to consider cutting I would start with all the lower mana cost nonDemon creatures. I would simply replace these with other lower mana cost cards that can better enable Rakdos without attacking and reduce creature mana costs without attacking.

Rather than playing a lot of single creature removal spells, rely more on Demons who can destroy or remove creatures? Especially Demons who have repeatable removal effects. You could cut many creature removal spells and replace them with more draw.

Searing Spear, Shock, Disintegrate can target a player to make them lose life, but you have Lightning Bolt for that and you can make opponent lose life better ways then playing single burn spells. Some budget single removal spells are helpful such as Chaos Warp and Feed the Swarm because these spells can remove an enchantment, Warp any permanent. When attacking is important to your game plan these can remove Ghostly Prison, Propaganda and others.

Rakdos can only reduce the mana cost of creatures therefore play very few noncreature high mana cost spells or spells that require a lot of mana to be useful. Spells that need a lot mana paid to make them decent is not really what you want when playing many high mana cost creatures. Could cut these for more draw and ramp.

Rolling Earthquake is a budget spell like this that's worth playing because you can control how much damage each creature is going to take, most Demons including Rakdos have high toughness. You could cut a few of the lesser Demons.

Master of the Feast is really bad card in multiplayer Commander because only your opponents draw. Awaken the Sky Tyrant, Wretched Confluence and Seal of the Guildpact are subpar for the mana costs.

In my last comment I recommended adding a lot of loot effects for draw. Loot is excellent with Blood Speaker and Speaker is a good reason to play Demon tribal since it's a tribal tutor that can be repeatable, return to your hand from your graveyard. Rakdos can reduce Speaker's mana cost to only 1 mana, making it a mana efficient way to repeatedly tutor for Demons.

Loot can be an enabler for reanimation and recursion which are helpful effects to have with Demons. Reanimation is a way to get Demons onto the battlefield without having to cast them, a backup for when Rakdos is disrupted. Recursion is getting Demons back into your hand or casting them from your graveyard. Patriarch's Bidding can reanimate all Demons in your graveyard. Persist and Exhume can reanimate for only two mana.

Chainer, Nightmare Adept has interaction with looting, getting Demons into your graveyard to cast them using Rakdos mana cost reduction. If you discard a Demon using Chainer's ability you can cast that same Demon giving it haste to attack. Rakdos also gains haste from Chainer when he's cast from the Command Zone. Any creature you reanimate gains haste from Chainer.

Chainer has excellent interaction with creatures who can sac themselves for value such as Magus of the Wheel and Doomed Necromancer. With Chainer these creatures gain haste when cast from your graveyard allowing them to tap and activate their abilities right away. Doomed Necromancer can reanimate even at instant speed. Chainer is good with Blood Speaker as discard outlet that can keep coming back to your hand.

Some more budget Demons to consider adding:

Some budget land upgrades to consider:

Temple of the False God is not a good land when you have no land ramp. It will not tap for mana until at least turn five and that's if you make all your land drops. Even if playing green and land ramp such as Cultivate I still wouldn't play Temple of the False God, it's just not a good enough land in the early turns of a game.

I think your 2 weakest demons are Archfiend of Depravity and Goremand. Archfiend feels like its not going to do much with how much removal you’re currently running - your opponent is unlikely to have more than 2 creatures anyway. Goremand is a LOT of mana and has a potentially-annoying cast condition. Though personally I think Indulgent Tormentor is your best big-mana creature by a long way here, as it plays to your strengths - i’d suggest dropping Blood Speaker entirely, and just running 3x Indulgent Tormentor and 1x Reaper from the Abyss as your demon suite. Alternatively, a playset of Desecration Demon would be really strong here.

For alternate better low-mana creatures, I can suggest Gatekeeper of Malakir, and Festering Mummy.

As far as better killspells, Infernal Grasp is amazing and seems like it’d be a great option for you. Other options include Victim of Night, Go for the Throat, and Fatal Push

Typically modern decks want their average CMC being just-below 2, so that they can be performant and maintain tempo. You are running some larger creatures that could skew that, but i think aiming for a lower curve would still be good. Maybe 2.2 is a good point to aim for.

Vessiliana I updated to include Blood Speaker Im updating all my other decks right now to my liking, this deck is slightly on the lower end but when I get to it more and more ill start to fine tune it.

Have you considered Blood Speaker? Sure, it might die in one of Rakdos' appearances, but it'd come back on the next demon's coattails. In my old Rakdos build, he did some good work.

Thank you for the suggestion! I had Blood Speaker in the deck but replaced it with a better Tutor, i felt it was too slow. But i guess as a replacement for a more expensive tutor, it's the perfect card!

A little bit of the Blood Speaker would be quite flavorful in this deck.

Cool concept! Here are some of my initial thoughts and comments after reading through the list a few times.

I really don't like Blood Speaker. A 4 mana 3/2 vanilla that tutors a demon to hand for 4 mana everytime - if it let you tutor one onto the battlefield it might actually be playable. I would cut all of these.

The main issues I see with the deck are your disruption package. I would add more efficient removal like Lightning Bolt and Fatal Push over a lot of your Go for the Throats and Terminates (I'd leave 1 Terminate for Murktide decks). Grim Return doesn't seem super great either.

I'd also include hand disruption in a playset of Inquisition of Kozilek, since I assume Thoughtseize is out of your price range. Discard is just a staple in any black midrange deck like this. While these cards might be a little more expensive than the other cards in the deck, Bolt/Push/Inquisition are all modern staples that can slot into most red/black decks and are unlikely to lose their value anytime soon.

Mark of the Oni is cute, so if you really have fun with it in the deck then of course that's fine, it just doesn't seem very good because the best time to drop it is earlier in the game to survive and you can't really play it early game. The only cheap demons I could find are Dream Devourer and Scourge of the Skyclaves which could slot in if you want to keep Mark of the Oni. Only run Scourge if you are running a playset of bolt though. If you have the money for Scourge I'd definitely get it, although it's pretty expensive.

Since you have Skirsdag High Priest, you probably need some lower costed creatures. While Fetid Imp fits the theme, its really bad. I'd cut it. Honestly something like Dark Confidant would be great here since you can tap it to Skirsdag and it gives you some much needed draw power, but it's really expensive. I can't really think of any other good 1-2 cmc black creatures that fit the hell theme (except asmor but she doesn't count lol), but there are definitely some good ones out there.

Some other devils/demons are Sin Prodder (need that draw engine?), Desecration Demon, which gets really brutal with Archfiend of Depravity, and Doom Whisperer. I'm sad that Master of Cruelties probably doesn't fit here since he's my favorite demon.

Love the flavor and the budget.

Blood Speaker would be my suggestion since he can tutor all your demons and he can recur himself.
