Dollhouse of Horrors

Artifact

, , Exile a creature card from your graveyard: Create a token that's a copy of the exiled card, except it's a 0/0 Construct artifact in addition to its other types and it has "This creature gets +1/+1 for each Construct you control." It gains haste until end of turn. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.

My version is a bit more artifact focused but have you tried Clone Legion, Dollhouse of Horrors, Mechanized Production, or Utvara Hellkite?

And a similar question regarding Dollhouse of Horrors exiling Kardur, Doomscourge from my graveyard, then having it return to the CZ.

I would start by looking at enchantments and artifacts that reference creature types, like rooftop storm referenced above. There are pieces of equipment that benefit warriors, amulets that benefit from wizards being around, all sorts of fun stuff. I would recommend you take this opportunity to scroll through a couple hundred of the less-referenced/underappreciated cards! My initial thought is this: what cards are super-limited (a-la eyes, Evil Eye of Orms-by-Gore), or are usually/always tokens but we’d love to have actual cards be (like constructs, with Dollhouse of Horrors). The opportunity here is to make /cards/ into what is usually not-cards. Super exciting!

Forsaken monument and sun are exactly the kind of payoff cards that you should be looking for - stuff that cares about your creatures, draws cards and makes more mana.

Myr propogator is a weird one - I've run cloning effects with Followed Footsteps and Cogwork Assembler type effects, which can be strong, but they mostly need something else to make them great.

Propagator is a little slower than them due to the tap + cost, but also a little more resilient due to both myr having the tap effects. If you were shooting for a Myr Galvanizer combo deck propagator will works as a payoff, with a backup where you were sacrificing tokens to trade for cards on a stalled boardstate, or perhaps were generating tons of mana with a myr Priest of Titania (if they print more myr support) it might be great, but it just needs a lot of other cards to work - haste for the tap cost, 3 mana for the price, ands its still a 1/1.

Short of shenaigans with something like Dollhouse of Horrors Necrotic Ooze or Mindlink Mech, I'm not a fan. It just takes a lot of cards to make paying 3 mana for a 1/1 artifact token to be good.

Yeah, I only found a handful of recursion effects. Reconstruction takes the spot of "random old reprint with new art" for the deck. Lol

God-Pharaoh's Gift and Dollhouse of Horrors both seem like they'd work well.

Think Storm the Vault  Flip would be too powerful because it flips into a land?

Hey, m4rs, I'm back with some spicy tech for your deck, this time regarding the big tokens themselves:

My suggestion, whenever possible, is to run creatures over other spell types for the same effect: they synergize better with your deck, despite being more vulnerable to boardwipes. (It makes you more explosive, which is better the higher you go on power level).

Now, as always, I want to suggest some removals:

  • I love Mimic Vat in battlecruiser games, but it doesn't pull the same weight on quick games. (It hurts to write it, but my beloved Soul Foundry might also only belong to Christmasland, since, if you don't have the mana to cast AND copy the creature right away, your opponents might see the danger incoming and remove the artifact before you get any value off it.)

  • Flamerush Rider requiring an attacking creature target right away means that your options are too limited. In my opinion, Delina, Wild Mage and Rionya, Fire Dancer are better cards for the effect.

  • Tendershoot Dryad might not belong here, since Ghired cares about quality, not exactly quantity of the tokens.

  • Esika's Chariot. I understand it already comes with its tokens for crewing, but getting a token copy of TOKEN creatures AFTER combat is too narrow for my taste (and you don't have noncreature tokens). Again, Rionya and Delina are better suited for this job.

  • Sword of Hearth and Home is good protection stapled to decent blink and ramp effects, but the ramp comes too late for Ghired to care, the blink is unreliable and the protection can be better executed by Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Saryth, the Viper's Fang (trample + deathtouch is nasty), Privileged Position or Asceticism.

  • Response / Resurgence is single-use. Aurelia, the Warleader's effect is repeatable.

  • What are your experiences with Warstorm Surge? I usually leave it out of my deck if I have access to Terror of the Peaks, since 6 mana is a lot in my games and the Terror is tutorable by cards you already run.

I've looked into this and I really like the path of +1/+1 counters. There are of course plenty of ways to get counters on your creatures in this deck (primarily Willowdusk), so capitalizing off of that with effects that bolster any creatures with counters or give them trample it pretty darn powerful.

First off, the trample givers: Bramblewood Paragon, Gnarlid Colony, Pridemalkin, and Crowned Ceratok.

And some other +1/+1 tribal engines: Mer-Ek Nightblade, Oona's Blackguard, Skyclave Shadowcat, and Tenured Inkcaster who, in particular, is very good in this deck.

And some support for the counters: Armorcraft Judge, Gladehart Cavalry, and Inspiring Call.

On a different note, giving your creatures lifelink in this deck is insane. Swing with something big to permanently double it's P/T with Willowdusk. Some good cards for that are: Alchemist's Gift, Essence Infusion, Rush of Vitality, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord, Poet's Quill, and especially Whip of Erebos. Essence Harvest is also in the same vein.

Lastly, one nasty thing you could do would be untapping Willowdusk to use her ability twice in a turn for exponential gains. Ideally, this would be done with cards like: Magewright's Stone, Puppet Strings, Quirion Ranger, Seeker of Skybreak, and Thousand-Year Elixir.

I also want to quickly touch on the other side of Willowdusk's ability with Aetherflux Reservoir Which would let you instakill an opponent then give one of your creatures +50/+50.

As for what to remove, there are quite a few cards I feel are pretty unsynergistic here like Dragonsguard Elite and Witherbloom Pledgemage as this isn't really a spellslinger deck. I also dont see the point of reclamation effects like Deadly Brew, Retrieve, Healing Technique, Dollhouse of Horrors, The Underworld Cookbook, or You Happen on a Glade. Lastly, Roil Spout just isn't legal (probably an error lol).
