Creature (1)

Hello there. How's it? Sticks foot in the door Do you two have a minute to talk about our glorious lord and saviour Nicol Bolas and how his radiance emanates throughout the multiverse? You do? Excellent!

Okay lol, all jokes aside i've been working on this for a little while now, testing on Cockatrice mainly. Being an absolute dragon fanatic, Nicol Bolas is ones of my favourite characters of all time! As a commander he's great fun and he tends to raise the hype levels at the table, which is a great feeling. Because of my love for dragons and the illustrious draconic overlord, I intend to make this my first paper EDH deck. A deadly dragon tribal deck that i can make a mark at my local card shop with!

The purpose of putting this up was to get a bit of feedback on the deck and mainly iron the deck out. Some suggestions for possible improvement would be excellent and perhaps some ideas for alternate win cons. (Swinging in works well, but there can be problems with that.) It's worked relatively well up until now and has most definitely won more games than it's lost. I'd say i'm around 8-3 right now, going off my replay history.

There are a couple of things i want to look at though.

The artifact base is pretty basic to be honest, with pretty much everything besides Whip and Belbe's Portal being mana rocks. Not too bad, but i feel like i might need some better options in this department.

On the subject of Belbe's portal... it's been strange, kind of hit or miss. Sometimes it's absolutely dominated the game and of course helps me bust out some huge dragons at instant speed. However, i'm not entirely convinced by it. On some occasions it just kind of sits there and does nothing and other times i end up with a "Should i play Stormbreath/Kolaghan/Thundermaw" or this?" Maybe that's just the nature of the card, but would it possibly be worth just playing more draw? Or more mana?

Crucible of Fire and Dragon Tempest have also been strange ones. Would it maybe be worth playing Scourge of Valkas instead of tempest? Tempest comes down earlier and is of course less mana intensive, but i'm still unsure.

The Instant & Sorcery base has been alright, but i still feel as though that with all this removal i'm worried that i lose other utility. (Draw mainly) The deck plays quite mid-rangey, controlling and clearing, ensuring my dragons have a clear path to my opponents. Sorin's Vengeance has been alright, but i'm not sure about it. It was intended to be a sort of alternative to Exsanguinate (Personally i find that a bit of a douchey card, we're already able to recur to some extent Kokusho anyway.)

And finally, just having a proper look at my mana curve. A 5CMC might be a little overcrowded and perhaps i should diversify a little.
