I was sitting at work, thinking of Goblin Welder , trying to figure out how to really abuse Thousand-Year Elixir . I thought maybe using Phyrexian Metamorph and Gilded Lotus would yield something substantial; alas, it was a dud.

Then I eventually arrived at Sharuum the Hegemon . Using Krark-Clan Ironworks , I could achieve infinite colourless mana, ETBs, and sac triggers. I would run a Reaper King deck that focused on artifact creatures! With five colours, I could throw in Intruder Alarm as an alternative to Thousand-Year Elixir .

But five colours is too much just to play a lil' ol' Goblin Welder . But Blue got me thinking. Keep Goblin Welder ; keep the idea of artifact creatures; and keep Intruder Alarm . Add in Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Krenko, Mob Boss . Go Izzet Goblins!
