This is a Voltron style deck that tries to beat opponents through commander damage. Omnath’s strength is twofold: 1) He can be very strong through the mana he stores and 2) the mana he saves can be used any time. Wasted mana is seldom an issue, thanks to Omnath. The deck protects the commander through hexproof and (pseudo) indestructibility (like umbras). It also gives him several forms of evasion.

Omnath is not a subtle threat, so expect other players to target him. That said, Helix Pinnacle is a viable alternate win condition. Thanks to Staff of Domination and the several cards that can potentially tap for five or more mana, it can draw cards until the pinnacle is tutored and give one-hundred tower counters.

Mana ramp is a huge part of this deck’s strategy and boasts many creatures and other spells to achieve this. Mana “dorks” and tutors are in abundance. Other creatures, enchantments, instants, artifacts, or sorceries add to the mana available or untap lands and/or creatures so they can be reused, even on other player’s turns. Some give options to play extra lands.
