This is the first version of a “Sword Tribal” deck using as many “sword” cards as possible while still being functional. This deck was inspired by the greatest of all sword enthusiasts, Fighter McWarrior from 8-Bit Theater. This version of the deck is a Mardu color scheme because of course Fighter had to bring along his best bud, Black Mage

For a Boros version sans Black Mage, you can check out version 2 of this deck here: I Like Swords! (v.2)

This deck functions pretty simply as a basic Voltron deck. Just put out all the swords you can, then watch them all attach to the Commander when you get her out.

There are really no actual combos in this deck

  • Single Combat: Since this deck will for the most part have only one creature (with Menace) on the field, this card works very well.

  • Fathom Fleet Swordjack: with 48 possible Artifacts in this deck, he is always doing a good amount of damage to whoever he is attacking. Easy Planeswalker removal.
