Loam Larva

Creature — Insect

When Loam Larva enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a basic land card, reveal it, then shuffle your library and put that card on top of it.

Ainok Guide and Loam Larva both tutor a basic and put it on top.Attune with Aether and Lay of the Land both tutor a basic for .And Land Grant can tutor a forest FOR FREE!

Otherwise, the list looks finished.

Start by removing Sylvan Scrying and all Seek the Wilds what are you going to search for a Forest?? better to remove and get higher chance to draw a land. Natural Connection is good you need more instant speed spells which ramps and good synergy with landfall.

Suggestions: Kodama's Reach,Caravan Vigil, Cultivate problem is that they are sorcery speed, Harrow may be a thing for the dubble landfall.

2x more Evolving Wild for synergy with landfall is a ++.

Reclaiming Vines remove it, use a more efficient one, like Nature's Claim,Reclamation Sage or Acidic Slime. (Natural State is ok)

Remove your Titanic Growth,Giant Growth and Aspect of Hydra but keep Swell of Growth for landfall.

Remove Somberwald Alpha Hidden Herbalists need to remove creatures to increase your chance to draw your big endgame like Nessian Wilds Ravager and Oran-Rief Hydra.

Remove Loam Larva is just a dead draw Elvish Visionary and Pilgrim's Eye is 100 times better.

Pilgrim's Eye is thinning your deck so you draw endgame cards earlier. Elvish Visionary replacing it self.

Llanowar Empath is an expensive Elvish Visionary i would remove it.

How i would read this deck:Go def early game and then slam huge HYDRAS end game!

liquid_water I can understand Loam Larva but I'm not sure what you don't like about Saheeli Rai. I'm assuming you can use it to make a copy of a target creature to be used as a sacrifice. Or to make a copy of Hanweir Garrison which should give me two permanent 1/1 creature tokens.

Oooh I even not see. You can also get Delirium ! So get in sideboard Ishkanah, Grafwidow can great ! I don't know it seems to be quite hard to cast it turn 5, but possible. Filigree familiar is only artifact. Pilgrim's Eye can be another, it can also fit in this deck perfectly. I will add one copy.

Oh and for only worth cheap blockers go for Fortified Rampart in case of pacifist I told you above. Still bad strategy, but better.

Ah ! I find a better Primal druid : Loam Larva. ETB triggers > LTB trigger.

I would see in test a sideboard with : 3x Filigree familiar (aggro), 1x Sigarda, 3x Fragmentize (aggro, marvel), 1x Linvala, 4x Blossoming defense (control), 2x Stasis snare (Emrakul, vehicles, etc). Last slot for at choice Ishkanah (U/W flash) or Fortified rempart or 3rd Stasis snare or Fumigate, 2nd Linvala or Sigarda.

In competitive environment, I don't find that authority of consuls is worth. You have better option I listed above to survive/tempo against aggro.

wolfhead: Thanks for the input dude. I myself am in a mixed state with Loam Larva. It works as a 2CMC 1/3 body at worst, but fetches a land and thins the deck out at another point. It's screwed me a tad bit, but have worked wonders in others. So as for now it stays in, but I've been thinking of taking one out for one more Rampant Growth.

Massive glut of comments incoming:

Satyr Wayfinder seems like a very good fit as well.

Commune with the Gods / Gather the Pack as well. Scout the Borders is almost better because it gives you the flexibility of getting a land (so it's a pseudo-Mulch), but it's three mana instead of two, which is a major drawback. An 2-mana Instant like Grisly Salvage would be perfect, but it adds black which is prohibitive. Tracker's Instincts is nice, but would be nice if we could take advantage of the flashback.

Land Grant is interesting to me here.

For all of the self-mill cards, I think that the flexibility of Grapple with the Past perhaps may be best.

Vessel of Nascency is compelling here as well -- especially with Commune with the Gods.

I really like Rites of Spring in this deck.

Almost makes me think we might be able to shoehorn Borborygmos Enraged in here. Probably not reasonable though.

Any room for Crawling Sensation here?

Titania, Protector of Argoth would be wonderful, but again, very expensive for what it is.

Splendid Reclamation with Aggressive Mining seems like it could be a fun combo.

I was originally thinking that Loam Larva would be a fun / dumb combo with Countryside Crusher -- but then I found Scouting Trek. So much more fun. :D

Nostalgic Dreams is on a similar vein, but lets you just refill your hand with known things.

Journey of Discovery to smooth stuff out? Edge of Autumn seems like a solid card in this deck.

Nissa's Pilgrimage is like a cheaper ($-wise) version of Kodama's Reach that only works on forests, and can sometimes have spell mastery. Kodama's Reach would be super good in this deck though.

Natural Balance is shenanigans.

Blighted Woodland for a bit of ramp and more lands in the graveyard? Blighted Gorge is a bit of removal.

Devastating Dreams seems like it could be fun.

I wonder if Savage Conception is perhaps better than Worm Harvest -- it's $0.50 cheaper, slightly easier on the mana cost, creates 3/3's, but doesn't go nearly as wide. Call the Skybreaker

Call me weird, but I'm intrigued by the idea of Weird Harvest here to tutor for our payoffs -- but that's provided that we don't care about giving our opponent their perfect creature as well.

Nature's Spiral might be a good catch-all way to recover your Elixer from the graveyard, or anything else you might need. Actually, with all of the self-mill, running two copies of Gaea's Blessing instead of Elixer might just be better.

New Frontiers into Natural Balance just seems mean -- especially if you have a way to sac all of the lands that you brought in with New Frontiers, like Aggressive Mining.

Restore doesn't seem horrible in that it's land cycling as well as ramp.
