Korozda Guildmage

Creature — Elf Shaman

: Target creature gets +1/+1 and gains intimidate until end of turn. (It can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or creatures that share a color with it.)

, Sacrifice a nontoken creature: Create X 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens, where X is the sacrificed creature's toughness.

I have replaced Nezumi Bone-Reader with Korozda Guildmage, since the latter creature is a better match for the themes of this deck.

I have replaced Decanter of Endless Water, Shared Summons, Baleful Strix, and Vorosh, the Hunter with Bloom Tender, Korozda Guildmage, Lotuslight Dancers, and Ruthless Deathfang, which reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.58 to 3.56, because the newer cards better fit the theme of this deck than did the older cards.

Korozda Guildmage would also be amazing, for this deck, so, between Baleful Strix and Gretchen Titchwillow, which card should it replace?

Is there room for Korozda Guildmage in this deck? That creature would be very nice, here, indeed.

Welcome to the club, shellsh0ckn0w!

As wallisface and Caerwyn have mentioned, knowing how much money you're willing to spend and if you're aiming for a certain format are important. I'm also going to ask if there are any colors you want to use or avoid.

Looking at creatures with Evoke, there are seven with a toughness 4 or greater, and just two have an Evoke cost under 4 mana. If you include Evoke cards with a toughness of 3, there are many more useful options, but you're going to need an additional Glorious Anthem, +1/+1 counters, or similar effects to bring their toughness up to 4.

Cheap, high toughness creatures like Wall of Omens and Aegis Turtle can provide a strong defense as you build to a different win condition, or you can turn their toughness into offense with cards like Assault Formation and High Alert.

Another potential angle is to build around Righteous Valkyrie, Bishop of Wings, and Kor Celebrant, using high-toughness Angels and Clerics to build an army.

The card is definitely slow, probably too slow for any tournament-level Constructed format, but a solid control shell will mitigate that, and it can be sped up a little with sacrifice effects. Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, Severed Strands, Korozda Guildmage (which is a pet card of mine), and other effects that give resources based on a creature toughness can help, as well as more general sacrifice effects like Village Rites.

Above all, have fun!

RockIV on Green Black Scavenge Deck looking …

been thinking alot how to improve it, decide to change some things:

added Leyline Prowler x4, to help me with the mana, also the lifelink and deathtouth may make them a good target to bulk with scavenge.

cut of the deck the Reaper of the Wilds x4 still love the card, but i think its not the best option.

Deadbridge Goliath didnt enter the deck , still thinking a wat to put it without making the mana curve to high ( will love some advice, who knows maybe they are not that neccesary now), same with Creakwood Liege

not shure what is better Golgari Charm can do lot of things and regenerate my creatures, Treasured Find return any card from the graveyard. Right now added the Golgaris, i think they have more uses. I may be wrong.

Also ive been reading all the help and all the advices from everyone and i appreciate it alot !. There where some awesome ideas on how to improve the deck, sadly, right now, i have no acces to all of those cards, like Death's Shadow for example. still thnks everyne that helped me.

All the other cards that i can add are in the Maybe tab. there are cards like Korozda Guildmage and Glowspore Shaman that i think there are awesome but i dont know if they fit in the deck. maybe i can add Glowspore Shaman and Treasured Find together.

also Jarad's Orders is awesome but will make my mana curve high i think

Help is always needed and welcomed, all advices will be read and appreciated alot :)

I'm unsure what direction you are planning as you seem to spread out a bit. Here is my suggestion though.

Focus on aristocrats and tokens(preferably saprolings))

Token doubler Parallel Lives Second Harvest Doubling Season

Token Makers Bramble SovereignFungal Plots Tendershoot Dryad Fungal Sprouting Golgari Germination Jade Mage Sprout Swarm Saproling Symbiosis Korozda Guildmage

Free Sac outlets are essential Viscera Seer Carrion Feeder

Ramp Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip Circle of Dreams Druid Cryptolith Rite Ashaya, Soul of the Wild Rishkar, Peema Renegade and kinda Gala Greeters

Saprolings synergies if you want Psychotrope Thallid

Toski, Bearer of Secrets maybe for additional card draw

Wincon ideas Aristocrats like Blood Artist Overwhelming Stampede Pathbreaker Ibex Yedora, Grave Gardener combo. I don't remember what the other pieces are atm. Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth + Life and Limb + way to profit off of every land dying or at least get ahead.

Since you're in casual, there's a lot of heavy hitting cards you could add (budget permitting). Doubling Season improves the turnaround rate of spore counters and gets you more tokens, although it is itself expensive. Something cheaper with proliferate like Evolution Sage could accomplish a similar goal. Aura Shards is a potent alternative to single-use Naturalizes for Selesnya, with Nullmage Shepherd being a more budget pick. Skullclamp is an insane draw engine if you keep your tokens at 1 toughness. Or if you don't want to, Intangible Virtue can stack with Sporecrown Thallids to get out of hand quickly. As far as creating tokens, there's Aura Mutation, Dreampod Druid, Fungal Sprouting, Korozda Guildmage, Saproling Migration, Thelonite Hermit, and the powerful lord Tendershoot Dryad. If you want generically good Golgari removal, cards like Assassin's Trophy and Fatal Push tend to see a lot of play. Personally, I like Crippling Fear for tribal decks and Tragic Slip for decks with sacrifice synergy. Speaking of sacrifices, I know from experience in commander that both Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest and Ghave, Guru of Spores make for nasty combos with Mycoloth. Such a strategy would also make creatures like Tukatongue Thallid more valuable than spell counterparts like Sprout or Fungal Infection.

The cards I'd look to cut first would be Rending Vines, Wear Away, Wrap in Vigor, Wurm's Tooth, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss, AEther Web, and possibly Fists of Ironwood unless you add more cards like Dreampod.
