Rocks Green Black Scavenge

hi all !,i always wanted to have a black and green deck, so the other day i started building it. its almost finished now , but i have some problems to finish the deck. It has 61 cards and i dont know what to take out, i already took out 1 Golgari Charm and 1 Treasured Find ( maybe it was a mistake) and the planeswalker Vraska the Unseen. I want to try to keep the 3 xDeadbridge Goliath.

i may take out 1 Slitherhead or maybe 1 Polukranos, World Eater, since its legendary, i will never have more than 1.

Also i wish to have space for 3x Reaper of the Wilds at least , i love that card, but i dont know if there is space for it.

Any advice will be appreciated , thks to everyone that read :D

Cut a Corpsejack Menace your top end is way too heavy

another option maybe taking out the Deadbridge Goliath and changing them for Leyline Prowler that would make the deck cheaper, but i dont know what will be better , never played this kind of deck before.

Well ideally you’d want to use Varolz, the Scar-Striped to salvage stuff like Death's Shadow

Honestly i think you just want a midrange deck to play with card that you like, which is fine but if that’s the case you should probably either beef up on the interaction and removal or dramatically lower the curve and add some ramp

ive seen that people use Death's Shadow in this kind of decks , but sadly i have no acces to it, so im using other creatures

Hey, on a low budget Sheltering Ancient and Hunted Horror when scavenged give a lot of counters for two mana.

These creatures are also lower mana cost with trample that can be to cast for Varolz, the Scar-Striped to put counters on them or to sac to get them into your graveyard. They have trample and even though Horror creates pro black token creatures for opponent to be blockers black creatures with trample will trample over them and hit your opponent. That's how trample works with color protection, opponent creatures can only block as much damage as it has toughness then the rest is done to opponent. You just need to be able to kill your opponent with trample damage before they kill you with 3/3 pro black creatures.

Grim Flayer and Grisly Salvage are good cards for this strategy, effects to get cards into your graveyard. These effects can help to find Varolz while also getting creatures you want to scavenge into your graveyard. Flayer is another creature who has trample to put counters on and Double Masters (2X2) version is much less than $1 each.

4x Varolz is really the only scavenge creature you need. You want to draw him and can scavenge other copies of him. All the other creatures with scavenge cost too much mana to scavenge and Slitherhead is very lackluster. Instead of playing other creatures with scavenge ability play creatures who have high power for the mana cost? Rely more on Varolz to scavenge?

On a low budget this is the core I would start with:

Lupine Prototype, Phyrexian Dreadnought, Rotting Regisaur, and Myr Superion are other decent options. Rotting Regisaur and Lupine Prototype have a nice synergy with the whole deck idea as well.

The Dreadnought is hella expensive though XD

been thinking alot how to improve it, decide to change some things:

added Leyline Prowler x4, to help me with the mana, also the lifelink and deathtouth may make them a good target to bulk with scavenge.

cut of the deck the Reaper of the Wilds x4 still love the card, but i think its not the best option.

Deadbridge Goliath didnt enter the deck , still thinking a wat to put it without making the mana curve to high ( will love some advice, who knows maybe they are not that neccesary now), same with Creakwood Liege

not shure what is better Golgari Charm can do lot of things and regenerate my creatures, Treasured Find return any card from the graveyard. Right now added the Golgaris, i think they have more uses. I may be wrong.

Also ive been reading all the help and all the advices from everyone and i appreciate it alot !. There where some awesome ideas on how to improve the deck, sadly, right now, i have no acces to all of those cards, like Death's Shadow for example. still thnks everyne that helped me.

All the other cards that i can add are in the Maybe tab. there are cards like Korozda Guildmage and Glowspore Shaman that i think there are awesome but i dont know if they fit in the deck. maybe i can add Glowspore Shaman and Treasured Find together.

also Jarad's Orders is awesome but will make my mana curve high i think

Help is always needed and welcomed, all advices will be read and appreciated alot :)

Final Version of the deck ! ( sort of, lol)

cut the Leyline Prowler, but i feel that this creature is very usefull, wanting to add it back , maybe taking out 1 Corpsejack Menace, 1 Varolz, the Scar-Striped ( dont know if it will be wise, this creatre is part of the deck combo) and something else. (need some advice in this, maybe the prowler is not that important for this deck)

added Winding Constrictor x 4, seems to be a cheaper version of Corpsejack Menace (maybe i can use 3 of them)

added Grisly Salvage x 3, i see a lot of these decks using it. It seems this may be a good way to speed up the deck a little maybe.

i think i will rotate between Golgari Charm and Treasured Find feel both of them may be very important

Help is always needed and welcomed, all advices will be read and appreciated alot :)

would love to hear some advice, on the last changes i made, thnks all :)
