Sygg, river guide is a flavorful and deceptively powerful general for commander merfolk. The deck is full of tricks, and capable of winning in a variety of ways including:

  • Infinite turns (or sometimes just many turns) with wanderwine prophets is relatively easy for this deck.
  • Commander damage win with sygg and his ability to protect himself, his evasiveness, and the equipment and lords in the deck.
  • Aggro swarm with our merfolk tribal synergy.
  • Locking out the game with lullmage mentor.

The deck also has tons of tutors for key merfolk, instant speed trickery with flash creatures and the like, efficient disruption, and tap/untap synergy.

I love this deck because of its adaptability and versatility. Give it a playtest!
