What Is This?

This is control. This is tokens. This is super annoying and boring - but not for you!

This home brewed, mono-white control deck is able to annoy our opponents in many interesting ways.

Can You Give Me Some Highlights?

Sure!

Three interesting combos:

• Crackdown + Yosei, the Morning Star. Please stay tapped - only works on non-white, but who is scared of white? Oh, wait...
• Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx + Deserted Temple. Okay, not that interesting.. but hell of a lot mana.
• Wait.. this is actually not a combo deck. Cannot find more than two, haha!

Three interesting cards from the control package:

• Lapse of Certainty: This card is underestimated. Who expects a counter from a mono-white deck? And the opponent will draw their pathetic spell next turn, lol!
• Silence: 1v1? Like an extra turn with a scarce board state. 1v1v1? Annoy the most dangerous a lot.
• Hushbringer: Stop aaaal the triggers!

Three interesting cards from the token package:

• Divine Visitation: Hello angels!
• Luminarch Ascension: Do we think it's easy to not lose life in four turns? Yes we do.
• Martial Coup: Doubles as a wrath effect.. what's not to like.

Three more interesting highlights, since we love lists so much:

• Endless Horizons: Cannot stress how glad one is to draw this card late game.
• Weathered Wayfarer: Find any land with a single mana.. hmm.
• Martyr's Bond: Not able to kill this enchantment? Better leave the rest of the board alive then!

Why This Commander?

Good question. What this deck is lacking is boost to our tokens. To maintain control, there's not enough room for these kind of "bad" cards if they haven't got any other upsides (like Angel of Jubilation). When we cast the mighty commander, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, we want to win and might actually be able to do so.

Why Would I Play This Deck?

You would want to pick this deck if you're tired of your opponents always getting all crazy and shit. This deck will shut those kinds of decks down - slow them down if you like. So many taxes and wrath, without destroying lands, will ensure just the right amount of annoyingness. Nobody will hit you after the game, but their faces will be stretched in an annoyed grimace. Also: Tokens!

Why Would I Want to Avoid This Deck?

Oh well, it's mono-white - did you notice? Things will go slooowly and how are you even going to win? At least you won't "win" any new friends with this deck. Did I remember to say that this is mono-white?
