ETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETBETB ETB

With ilharg the Enter The Battlefield triggers are pretty much life, don't get this confused with extra combat steps. This would bring a second creature to the field with ilharg, which not only draws more aggro (as they are bounced after) but it also requires 2 creatures in hand to be useful.

This sounds more plausible than it is, card draw in red is lackluster so drawing into multiple threats just kinda falls short most games.

The answer? Static effect enchantments, they keep others distracted while you plan your big move. Things like Price of Glory, Citadel of Pain, Smoke, Mass Hysteria. These affect the entire battlefield, they help move things along at a pace mono-red enjoys.

Through being able to control the pace of the game with your enchantments, you sneak under the radar until they get smacked with the double damage procs. With the proper ETB triggers, you can actually win the entire game in one combat phase while they are all distracted with more present threats.
