The aim of this deck is to use Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder to acrue value off of creatures delaing combat damage and keeping you ahead of them, whilst smashing them for commander damage with Ishai. Creatures like Balefire Dragon and Rapacious One benefit a lot from the double strike Bruse grants (and the huge amounts of lifegain aren't bad either), and we also have effects like Cradle of Vitality , Celestial Mantle, and the Cipher spells that benefit off of us connecting.

Naturally we want as many creatures to get double strike as possible, so we can flicker Bruse with effects like Momentary Blink or spread it around via Flying Crane Technique or Duelist's Heritage (this last one is a great political tool as well, given it can be used on opponent's creatures. Bruse is super important and he has to attack to use his ability if we can't flicker him, so we have effects like Nahiri's Machinations to preserve him, or Reconnaissance to yank him out of combat the second we have his ability triggered.

In the meantime, try to stay alive through the effects of Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs to keep people off your back, as well as using Render Silent and Hands of Binding to lock them down. Happy bashing!
