Flying Crane Technique

Instant

Untap all creatures you control. They gain flying and double strike until end of turn.

Hey, because you have Old Gnawbone then Hellkite Charger is one of the best Dragons to add. These two Dragons combo for infinite attacks as long as you can at least do combat damage with Gnawbone. Charger could replace Flying Crane Technique because you don't really need this effect because Dragons already fly and Atarka, World Render is a better source of double strike.

Good luck with your deck.

Flying Crane Technique and Deflecting Palm feels like they need to be in here for flavor. Never seen monks before so +1. Hope it works out

Hey man!

Before we get into this, I just want to say that if I sound like a know-it-all and a dick, it's toatally unintentional and I apologize for it. Also, I have never played Jeskai in EDH, so please take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

It's kind of hard to find a good Jeskai Commander that is based around creatures, so I think you have two options:

Of course, you could have both in your deck, and switch them around as the meta/playgroup changes, but it's best to choose one now. I'll provide options for both.

The ramp and land package wil be roughly the same, so I'll start with that. I use TCC's manabase template, but feel free to change it.

Ramp

Lands

TCC's template for a manabase is this, but feel free to change it to fit your budget etc.

  • 3 OG Duals (Can be replaced by Check, Scry or Man lands)

  • 3 Shock

  • 3 Zend-Onslought Fetch (Can be replaced by Panoramas)

  • 15 total basics and utility (9/6 split)

  • 3 Filter Lands

  • 3 Pain Lands

  • 4 Any Colour Lands

  • 1 Tri Land

  • 3 Other Lands(more utility, duals, Lairs, etc)

Here's a deck that I drafted if you want Shu Yun, Silent Tempest as your commander. I left three slots for the cards already in your deck

Here's the draft deck if you want Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker and Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder as your commanders

That ends my very long post. Feel free the change anything you want about the decks I made, as they are only a first draft.

Good Luck,

Hex

Flying Crane Technique gives the double strike that Ray_F is looking for, while also helping the team, putting three counters on Ramos, and giving your suddenly buff commander pseudo-vigilance if cast after the declare attackers step.

I have a build with a specific focus on Dream Halls. I run lots of search to get it and then the scariest most expensive creatures I can find. Its not great but it makes for interesting games. Winding Constrictor really breaks the Myojins. Also during an attack or block make 10 mana with Ramos, The Dragon Engine discard Welcome to the Fold to cast Flying Crane Technique with Dream Halls, Ramos, The Dragon Engine gets 3 more counters. Play Welcome to the Fold for madness cost X = 8 and Ramos gets another counter.

Looks good! I'd say it might need a bit more removal and maybe another win condition. I might take out Mantis Rider, Lightning Bolt, and Serum Visions for maybe Pongify and Reality Shift for removal and Flying Crane Technique as a way to win with all thse creature tokens you will be making with prowess. Vandalblast is also a sweet artifact sweeper you could use. I also like Hour of Revelation a lot.

Alright, all of those suggestions seem more than fine to me Aaerys, and with Flying Crane Technique I could see even 1/1 with prowess become quite deadly. Maybe even making the 1/1 becoming an alternate finisher.

Soulfire Grand Master also seems quite good and I should get it when I can. Fury of the Horde + Soulfire Grand Master looks like a pretty alright combo too me.Ojutai Exemplars and Sage of the Inward Eye both looks good as well, though I do not know what I could possibly take out from the deck?

So any suggestions about that would be lovely! :)

From a quick glance it looks really effective. Here's a few cards you might consider too:Ojutai Exemplars, Sage of the Inward Eye, Soulfire Grand Master and Flying Crane Technique although it may be a little too high CMC.

Good luck! :)
