This Phyrexian posterchild has always been on the competitive fringe. This deck is powerful and comes up from time to time in modern as a Tier 1 crusher. It's an unexpected powerhouse that thrives in an unprepared meta.
Let me know what you think of this build. Any comments/suggestions and +1 Upvotes are appreciated.
Phyrexian Obliterator

Inquisition of Kozilek
Great T1 play. Lets you know how much time you have to get everything in motion. Love to follow this up with Surgical Extraction and wipe out a key piece against combo decks. Blackmail also works well on T1 as you will often be shown an unwanted fetch land which you can then mass remove.

Gifted Aetherborn
Fantastic card. It is perfect for T2 to get a decent body and some really useful evasion. The Lifegain aspect of this card is great as it often gives you the time you need to get to the mid-game and ultimately the WinCon. Same for Vampire Nighthawk

Dark Confidant
I prefer this more on T2 than Gifted Aetherborn. He often draws attention for your opponent's removal spells but if he survives 1-2 turns he can be very useful in getting card advantage. He combos well with Gifted Aetherborn to balance your life total as well.

Geralf's Messenger
Gary's pesky younger brother, I'm only running him as a 2 of since he comes in tapped. He shocks the opponent and survives removal pretty well. Often a target for Path to Exile to avoid the shock damage. By turn 3 Geralf's Messenger is the first real addition to your devotion. If Gifted Aetherborn has survived thus far your looking at 5 devotion.

Gatekeeper of Malakir
A more likely play on T3 to remove your opponent's first creature possibly. Giving you another turn as your opponent needs to deal with summoning sickness yet again.

Liliana of the Veil
In addition to the obvious, Lilly can be used to force undying for Geralf's Messenger to get through a larger board presence for the last bit of life. Overall, an extremely versatile card that must be dealt with.

Phyrexian Obliterator
The overpowered juggernaut that makes opposing players pray for removal while they quiver in their seat with the fear of sacrificing everything in order to protect their last remaining life points. Best of all, Obliterator gives you massive devotion for the win condition. If he makes it past Path to Exile or Dismember.

Dash Hopes can be a big save later in the game when they don't have life to spare.

Profane Command
This card can be a win condition all on it's own with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. It's third mode is great to bring back Gray Merchant of Asphodel for the win or a big beater like Phyrexian Obliterator or have another go around with Geralf's Messenger.

Liliana of the Dark Realms
Great for getting you the lands you need and then if you can ultimate her, having enough mana will never be an issue again. Also her second loyalty can wipe out any large beaters and gets around indestructible.

Fatal Push
Removal for almost everything in modern that matters. Courtesy of Channel Fireball
Any creature from Affinity other than Etched Champion
Any creature from Infect, including Inkmoth Nexus
Any creature from Burn; Goblin Guide, Eidolon of the Great Revel
Any creature from Death’s Shadow Zoo, including big Death's Shadows
Any creature from the Kiln Fiend deck
Any creature from Melira other than an Archangel Avacyn  Flip
Any creature from Jund, including Raging Ravine
Any creature from Abzan; Grim Flayer, Kitchen Finks
Any creature from U/W Control, including Celestial Colonnade
Any creature from Merfolk, including Master of Waves
Noble Hierarch, Thought-Knot Seer, Eldrazi Displacer from the Eldrazi deck

So there's that...
But just in case, there's one Dismember for something like Reality Smasher or Archangel Avacyn  Flip

Gray Merchant of Asphodel
By the time this is ready to cast, your devotion should be around 7-12. Occasionally 4 in a pinch. Love this card. Don't really want more than 2 though because Dark Confidant can be a big hit. Unless you've gained enough life off Aetherborn and Nighthawk already.

Still working on this.

Updates Add

First Round: BUG Control
Game one was very interactive, but I hit roadblock after roadblock and couldn't keep anything on the battlefield for very long. Lost 0-2

Second Round: JUND
Game one was a blowout. Game 2 was so close. I was able to exile all of his red mana sources with Relic of Progenitus Got him down to 2 until he Maelstrom Pulsed my 2 Phyrexian Obliterators and swung for lethal with goyf. Lost 0-2

Third Round: Bye..... This isn't good.

Fourth Round: Skred Red
Game one he got me pretty good with lots of 4/4 elementals from Koth of the Hammer. Game two I had awesome board presence with Gifted Aetherborn and Vampire Nighthawk doing double time killing off his land creatures. An Obliterator sealed the deal. I finally won one!! Game three I simply got flooded and couldn't do anything late game to win. Lost 1-2.

I got Flooded pretty much every game. I didn't have any trouble getting lands. I think I might drop down to 21 lands. Maybe adding a second Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to make up the difference. I'll have to test it out.
I saw one Surgical Extraction all night and one or two in the first round would have allowed me to break through his defense. Might go to 4 on this. Or add an Extirpate to prevent any shenanigans while it's still on the stack.
