saturn999 I had to stop playing 8 Rack because I couldn't keep up with my meta. That and Leyline of Sanctity was in EVERY sideboard. But regardless, If I have ensnaring bridge in play, it lets me find another way to win as long as I can keep it in play. No worries.

Towards the end of the game he cracked a Bloodstained Mire and stated that he had no red mana left.

saturn999 I understand where you're coming from. But the deck either curves into Gary draining for 10+ on turn 5 or it gives you off curve Geralf's Messenger and you wind up at 5 or less life because of it. At that point resolving Gary is the only out. But when you do go off, that resilient 3 devotion really adds up and swings the game back in your favor.
DankStompy It seems I left out some key details in that statement. I think he was using Grim Flayer and dumping his fetchable red sources in the graveyard. I'm trying to think back to it, but I think Relic of Progenitus was simply forcing him to exile every card in his yard including the lands. I landed a Surgical Extraction early on and hit all of his Verdant Catacombs. It eventually got to the point where he had no red shock lands in his deck and was only able to draw into red sources. I don't really remember the exact sequence to be honest. All I know is that the combination of Grim Flayer, Phyrexian Obliterator, Surgical Extraction, and Relic of Progenitus left him with no red mana in play or in his deck towards the end of the game.

I was seriously debating whether or not I wanted to pickup a playset of Ensnaring Bridge and rebuild my 8 Rack Deck. Awesome deck.

Good points. I've always been fascinated by Grixis Delver. It is such a reliable deck that often times follows a different line to the same end game. It was one of the first decks I used to qualify my own brews against. Because if I didn't stand a chance against Grixis Delver, I knew I had a wasted my efforts on a bad brew. I remember when I finally won against the deck (without a one off circumstance like flood or screw) and it was REALLY rewarding because it is good against so many of the decks I like to run.

Looks Solid. I might try 3 Anger and 3 Leyline just to increase the chance of actually seeing it in your opening hand. How consistently are you able to flip Delver Flip? I seem to recall most traditional Grixis Delver decks running only 8-10 creatures. Would you be able to cut 2 Tasigurs? Maybe for Opt or Logic Knot.

Sounds like quite the puzzle. Good luck. I’ll be looking forward to what you discover.

Night's Whisper is a fine card. I use it in my Pauper Deck. Batterskull has that added evasion where you can return it to your hand for . I would say the choice between that and Kalitas is a personal preference. The latter improves your Aggro matches though. Oona's Prowler is a fast clock that gets cards out of your opponent’s hand free of charge. Though Delver Flip might be a more consistent threat.

Hunson_Abadeer I wish I had an answer for you. I currently only own the black pieces from my Jund Deck and the fetches/shocks. I can say though from playtesting that this deck is great at digging through to find what you need so having a creature in play to turn on Wizard's Retort shouldn’t be difficult.

Lol. Just think... If they resolve a JtMS or LotV you have an answer to it. Anguished Unmaking is another tool to mess around with. I say cut Path to Exile because the incidental mana ramp can be a deterrent from wanting to cast it.

Leyline of the Void is my end goal. I can't fork up the money for it right now though. Have you tried Field of Ruin in place of some fetches to combat Cavern of Souls? I would say 1 or 2 should suffice without hindering your ability to get your mana on-line.

I hear ya on that. Jund doesn't have a good match-up against Hollow One either. I like your strategy of going all in on Anger of the Gods. I will have to try that instead of splitting between Grafdigger's Cage.

I like Field of Ruin as budget tron hate.... Do you side out fetches for this? or the check lands?

Long live Fair Magic. (And awesome alters in this deck) +1

I too am a budget player outside of Jund. I have some of these cards but not all of them. Vendilion Clique is definitely a must in a deck like this though.

Tasigur, the Golden Fang actually doesn't work here. I could have swore he was a Wizard. I think I'll try something else.

Delver of Secrets Flip is only in there to allow a turn 2 Wizard's Retort. I like Cursecatcher though as it's ability is also a turn 1/2 counter spell. For the time being I'm going full Wizards Tribal so Thing in the Ice Flip doesn't fit the bill. But I see how it could be beneficial.
