I think it's a lock that we see Slow Fetches in Modern Horizons. Double or nothing that we get enemy colors.

Thanks for the comment Sarios254. If they can't print powerful cards in Standard and they can print powerful cards in Modern Horizons, where will we get powerful cards for Modern? However, I don't think you want a restricted list in any format beyond Vintage.

I take it you saw my new deck.....
"I think it's likely that they're focusing on extending the format horizontally [supplementing existing T2/T3 decks]" This is my hope. The 2 spoilers we've seen so far seem made for BW Tokens which fits right into the T2/T3 realm. Sure they're playable elsewhere but BW tokens seems to get the most out of both cards. I worry that they will pull a Masters 25 move and print a powerhouse like Force of Will to give a recognizable "face" to the set. That being said, we have pseudo counterspell in standard offering tribal support in the process. FoW in standard breaks the NWO by having a free counter spell causing serious bad feels for newer players. Modern is growing faster and faster every year. The T4 format is no longer. Having FoW in the format could remedy that to some degree. It's not as necessary as it is in Legacy, not yet anyway, but it could be a solid check valve in Modern to keep T1/T2 shenanigans at a minimum.
SynergyBuild has a good point about printing dud Rares into Standard. Reprints that do nothing in standard are printed at common or not printed at all.

Well it's either Wasteland or Rishadan Port . As far as FoW goes, I don't think it would have the impact on Modern as it does in Legacy. There aren't as many degenerate things to do on T1 in modern that win the game. (Not yet anyways). Without the appropriate fast mana that is available in Legacy Ancient Tomb , Mox Diamond , Lotus Petal , Chrome Mox , City of Traitors , etc. there just isn't the same dynamic as there is in Legacy. so it wouldn't be as useful in Modern. Not to say it wouldn't be good, but it wouldn't be the safety valve like it is in Legacy.

So, I've managed to find a whopping TWO Standard decks that have been maintained with each new set and updated each rotation. These decks have been maintained for 3+ years now. Shout out to multimedia and EastsideRock for keeping up with the format for as long as you have. (Go check out their standard deck!)
What I'm looking for is other users who have maintained a Standard legal deck for at least a year now. I would like to have a folder of decks that are always standard legal that I can refer to at any point in time and throw some money at the format and sleeve up a deck. We can all look up the top 8 decks at any time, but what's the fun in that. Being able to check in on the status of any well maintained standard deck is something I think we could all get behind.
I don't follow Standard as much as I'd like and I feel this could be a good jumping off point for getting into the format. So, feel free to drop a link to your non-rotating Standard deck. I'd really appreciate it and I'm sure others would as well.

“Budget” by Modern standards is all I’m referring to. But I know what you mean. The deck still has the Jund flavor and can actually get up and running a lot quicker sometimes.

Hey zapyourtumor. Hope you found some starting points in this build to get back at it.
was almost a thing when they unbanned
Jace, the Mind Sculptor
but that never really stuck.
is interesting. I haven’t given it a spin yet. I kinda like
in that slot since it’s less mana straining. Instant speed might be something to think about though.
PlatinumOne: My mistake.

Trust me PlatinumOne. Once you see how many counters Bloodhall Ooze and Managorger Hydra get you’ll understand the choice over Skinshifter . A T3 5/5 Bloodhall Ooze is one of my favorite ways to win a game.

Engineered Explosives is also pretty safe in any 3 color SB

UW control one ofs and two ofs are probably your best SB inclusions.

A good catch all would be Detention Sphere or Celestial Purge . Lingering Souls is good against discard and would also be good in the spirits/humans matchups as well. Not sure what you cut for souls though. The 2 Snapcaster Mage SB is where I would start.

Thanks again for your comment on my So, You Wanna Buy Junk Yea? (Budget) deck. It really got me thinking about the deck again and focused optimizing the list. I'm excited to start sleeving it up soon.

I couldn't agree with you more beyondlegend.
Glint-Sleeve Siphoner is better than Dark Confidant if you can keep feeding it energy. No information for the opponent and you can decide when/if you want the card draw. I just added Woodweaver's Puzzleknot back into the mix for three reasons. Primarily for more energy, second for Delirium, and third for the life gain.

I don’t run Field of Ruin because it’s too slow for the format right now. Also, it makes the mana too clunky in my opinion and isn’t really needed against the decks that are putting up results.

Hey saturn999! Saw your request to check out this build.
I love the idea of rock Phyrexian Obliterator builds. The addition of a suicide black variant is also pretty cool and an interesting twist on the deck.
Not a big fan of Field of Ruin without Tireless Tracker . That being said, I don’t think tracker is what you want here with Phyrexian Obliterator . I would probably cut the 2 fields for 2 more Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth . I think Dark Confidant fits the theme better and doesn’t strain your mana as much as Grim Flayer .
Removal package seems good; maybe one too many Abrupt Decay . Surgical Extraction or Nihil Spellbomb would be a good one of MB.
Vraska, Golgari Queen is reallly good in typical rock decks. Not sure how it pairs without Tireless Tracker though. It’s worth a test though.
