Deck philosophy

A control deck at its core. We win the game with Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow fliping cards from the top of our deck and bruning our opponents life down to zero. Its a strange aggro control deck. Aggro and control in the same deck, yes I know, its strange. But thats what it is. We play a lot of really expensiv cards that we don't need to pay mana for. Like Force of Will and Submerge or Avatar of Woe .

Emrakul, the Promised End

mana big eldrazi titan. If we flip into this with Yuriko it 13 life loss to all opponents. And if we build our deck corectly we cloud cast this big thing. Normaly we use Scroll Rack to replace this big cathulu back on our deck.

But if we cast it we could steal a turn and use that turn to win. To make this possible we need to have a lot of different card types in our grave. For every card type in our grave, this creature cost less. In my experice, if you have a bit 9-11 cards of one type you will be able to get that card type inside your grave.

So we need 10 enchantments - 10 artifacts - 10 instants - 10 sorcerys - 10 creatures - 10 plainswalkers - 10 tribal cards and 10 land.

Now if we build a deck following this excatly we will have a bad deck. We can't find 10 plainswalkers that will be good. We might find 2-3. There are no tribal cards that you wanna play. We wanna have more then 10 instants. But it is possible to get enoughf card type varient ratio.

Ninja tribal!!!!

Yes there is a bunch of ninjas that are quite good that we can include. But in the end the ninja count I will have in my deck won't make it into a reall ninja tribal. But it will be possible to get 3 Yuriko triggers a turn. And that will burn.

Do I need to explain this card for this deck? Alright with this we can put expensiv cards on top of our deck in respons to Yurikos trigger.

Counterbalance

We are running a lot of top deck manipulation to get big burn effects. That means we could utalize this blue enchantment. It a good card for a deck like this one.

Commandeer

A bigger force of will. We don't need to pay mana for it. We can exile two blue cards instead. Thats not really a problem. Yuriko builds a hugh hand size. is 7 life loss if we flip into it. And we steal the none creature. Plainswalkers have just become a small thing in this format. We could steal an Ashiok, Dream Render with this. Or an Isochron Scepter .

Dead of Winter

I have decided to make this deck into a snow deck. I am alredy playing back to basic so I will have a lot of Snow-Covered Island . That means I could utalize this card.

Cabal Therapist

Lets say all opponents have 1 blocker at least. Everyone can block Yuriko. Post combat we can use this black psychologist to sac Yuriko. We get the cute but also usefull effect. Then we attack with this creature that has menace. A small evasion. Then we Ninja in Yuriko. The fact that Cabal Therapist only cost makes it into a card we can include in Yuriko. Turn 1 Cabal Therapist is an functional opening.
