Welcome to Ringmaster Kadena's Tower of Mystery! Who knows what you'll find inside...

Hello! This is my Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer morph tribal deck. It's a very fun and interactive deck that gives its pilot what every magic player wants the most: value.

The morph mechanic provides a large variety of abilities from countering spells, destroying permanents, and preventing our opponents from untapping. However, all these abilities come with the downside of being attached to creatures that are otherwise not very powerful. That's where the commander comes in. Kadena is very important to this deck because she really makes the plan come together. First off, she can make one morph per turn (not just our turn, but our opponents' turns as well) free to cast with her static ability. However, her true power comes from her second ability which lets us draw a card whenever a face-down creature enters our battlefield. Ideally, this allows us to play a morph creature or manifest a card and draw into more morph creatures. This essentially creates a chain of playing a morph creature every turn. Once we start un-morphing our creatures and effecting our opponents' boards this creates a very powerful engine.

What really makes this engine start snowballing out of control is being able to play our morphs at instant speed via cards that grant flash. This allows us to cast one free morph and draw one card on every player's turn if we have Kadena on the field. Furthermore, being able to have mana open on our opponents' turns so we can un-morph our creatures or flash out more than one morph is also a very strong move for this deck. Prophet of Kruphix would be the most ideal card to tutor up in this deck but it is banned. Therefore Leyline of Anticipation + Seedborn Muse is a suitable substitute.
