I think you should do something about your mana fixing, you have a reasonable 39 lands, but you don't have a great deal of mana fixing options (you do have Chromatic Lantern, but not The World Tree), in addition you don't run many land ramp spells (stuff like Nature's Lore or Untamed Wilds that can find lands are generally better than creatures that will die when people wipe the board to get rid of your Dragons, land ramp makes it easier to recover). In a deck with lots of Basics I like stuff like Kodama's Reach, Harrow, Roiling Regrowth, and Entish Restoration are all options that are really good at getting you to WUBRG (and Tiamat). I like Blighted Woodland, Myriad Landscape, and even Krosan Verge for fixing in a deck with lots of Basics, but note that Krosan Verge can fetch a non-Basic Forest and Plains, I like to find Murmuring Bosk and a typed Plains/Island or Plains/Mountain, so it can find 4 colours without a fancy/expensive Triome. If you run lots of Green land ramp spells you should probably not cut any Forests (even for duals that offer Green), I would cut non-Forest Basics instead since your deck will work better if it has access to Green mana. I have a Meren of Clan Nel Toth deck that REALLY needs to have at least one Green source very early or it's dead, that deck runs 19 Green lands, and even though the deck is mostly Black spells the deck only runs 11 Black lands; my Green sources can find my Black ones for me, so I don't actually need to draw any Swamps in a normal game to have plenty of Swamps. Hope this helps/makes sense, making a great mana base is really hard to do.

I think recasting Tiamat is probably a useful enough thing that Netherborn Altar might be handy, as would similar effects. You can also use Capsize or Unsummon to return Tiamat to hand so you can get her trigger again (to recover from a wipe).

If you're really into Dragons you might like Crux of Fate, this can clear out non-Dragons, probably letting you alpha strike. You can also try Mandate of Abaddon and target a Dragon that is big enough to kill all the relevant blockers, yet small enough to not kill your important Dragons.

Awesome to see a Kresh list, I feel like he's pretty underplayed. I have a list of my own you might take a look at (Blood for the Bloodbraid!, though it might be trying too hard for what you're aiming to achieve here (for example we both have Elemental Mastery, but I run it with Purphoros, God of the Forge because as long as Kresh has a high power the two win on the spot, my list has lots of stuff that wins very quickly once Kresh reaches critical mass). Another card that can go off with Kresh almost without support is All Will Be Counters, because you can just machine gun down the whole board if you can kill something big to kick things off. You also might find a use for Ezuri's Predation, it is a lot of mana, but the effect is such that you almost always end up with a huge Kresh and a few 4/4s to chump with, it plays better in Kresh than in most other lists. Oh, and incase you want to one-shot someone you might try Mandate of Abaddon, if Kresh is bigger than everything a particular player has out then you play this and one-shot them, is that a reasonable play for your meta?

If you want any specific help with Kresh, feel free to ask, he's an incredibly fun Commander to build, there are just so many cards that are absolutely bonkers together (and with Kresh).

He's not heavily played, but Kresh the Bloodbraided can do some absolutely nutso things when he's big enough, and the deck often has some control elements (especially vs creatures, the deck wants to kill off everything but Kresh typically). It can be built on a budget (for Casual play) or as a High Power deck. On a budget you run all of the Merciless Executioner effects you can find, and at higher power you'll still run a bunch of them, but you'll also have Dictate of Erebos effects. Rite of the Raging Storm by itself turns Kresh into a huge body, and it's easy to include lots of Flings/Chandra's Ignition/Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to win, but you can also use stuff like Mandate of Abaddon to wipe the board and one-shot someone, there are a TON of cards that play very well with Kresh, and people probably aren't familiar with the deck at this point.

Another option might be Azorius Control, Azorius is a great pair for wipes, removal and countermagic, meaning you can deal with problems, both for yourself as well as the table. I guess you might go something like Shorikai, Genesis Engine and play any vehicles that don't suck? You can freely wipe your pilots without risking your vehicles, even without things like Teferi's Protection. The card draw Shorikai offers can really help you dig, and it synergizes with untap effects.

My final idea would be something like Sauron, the Dark Lord, Grixis gives you a lot of control options, and Sauron makes you a big honking army very readily, and fwiw you can make an evasive Changeling (like Changeling Outcast) your Army in place of a token. Grixis struggles a bit vs certain types of permanents, but you can certainly pressure people and have input as to what stays around.

Oh yeah, just thought of a bad idea I've never gotten around to testing, but you might be able to build Optimus Prime, Hero  Flip with all the Jeskai wipes you can find? Optimus can 'survive' a wipe, so as long as you can give him Haste somehow you can swing each turn vs a cleared board, wiping whenever anyone gets anything relevant out. Would it be obnoxious? Incredibly so. But I think it could work, especially since you have Red for various good Haste sources. You probably need lots of things to protect Optimus from Swords effects, including a smattering of Blue counters that are either free or cost {U} so you can hold them up.

Taking a look at other people's ideas, I support Karazikar and Breena, both seem like great fits!

Well, my Pavel Maliki deck liked to use a few interesting sources of evasion, Shizo, Death's Storehouse, Dauthi Embrace, Mask of Griselbrand, and possibly Scavenged Brawler. I use these in conjunction with a fairly large number of board wipes that help thin the board and help get in for Commander damage. Flying, Shadow, Fear, and Trample are all useful ways to get in for damage, even if the opponent has potential blockers, they might not count. If your Voltron is big enough to try for the win you might try Mandate of Abaddon, this can easily let you one shot someone if Teysa's power is high enough (and nobody is retaliating vs you). You could also try Promise of Loyalty, this clears out almost all the creatures while also preventing the survivors from coming after you.

Not sure why I didn't think of it earlier, but despite people making fun of it Grave Betrayal seems like it'd have some synergy with your Commander, not only do you get the 1/1, you'd also get their creature!

Looks pretty neat! Considering the voltron element and Seshiro's comment (with which I couldn't agree more), some additional ideas:

  • Astarion's Thirst: depending on what you're exiling, this could prove to be a substantial boost in strength and toughness for either your commander or his companion.
  • Courageous Resolve: can be the killing blow against at least one of your opponents and allows you to draw as well.
  • Dark Dabbling: excellent anti-wipe spell in your deck, provided you play it mid-game somewhere (which is fine as wipes usually don't appear before then anyway).
  • Hatred: not exactly a cheap addition, but considering its potential that's not surprising. You have plenty of lifegain in this deck to make this an extremely dangerous card.
  • Mandate of Abaddon: again a great potential finisher, especially if your voltron creature is strong enough.
  • Silverquill Command: great booster for your voltron and cheap to cast with Killian on the BF.

Have fun with the deck!

DreadKhan on Thantis, the Warweaver

I would take a look at Open the Way, if it doesn't get reprinted in the near future the card is going to get bonkers I suspect, the floor of 3 mana for your next land is both playable and less hassles than a true fetch effect (you don't have to shuffle for it), but if you play it mid game for 6 it's a bit unreal.

Have you ever thought about Mask of Griselbrand? Flying and Lifelink are very good keywords, and this can be a VERY effective form of protection for your Commander, people can't let it die or you get a new hand for almost nothing.

Since people have to attack with everything (and can't send them at you), Rite of the Raging Storm might do some work for you, if an opponent can't deal with 5/1 attackers they are very easily killed.

Not sure how big your Thantis gets, but I like Mandate of Abaddon in my Kresh deck, Kresh can get big enough that this is not just a 4 mana one sided wipe, it also means I'm going to Commander damage someone out of the game.

Not sure how often your Commander gets locked down with stuff like Song of the Dryads, but Angel's Trumpet can be a decent back up.

It's a bit of a weird niche card, but I love Tempting Licid in a Goad deck, this guy can be attached to a creature that you forced to attack at instant speed, and now the opponent that creature is attacking is getting blocked by the kitchen sink, and as soon as those blockers are declared you just detach the licid and go on your merry way. I think most people find the card too confusing to play, but the effect is extremely strong, useful to threaten attacking or blocking creatures. It can also be a one player wipe if your Commander is big enough.

I feel like you could also look into running a lot of wipes, stax or other salt inducing things, such that the deck will naturally end up the archenemy and everyone will unite against them. Do the other decks compete with one another? If so, something that does Goad or Goad-like effects would be cool. TBH, if I had to pick a commander to try out as an Archenemy type deck, I'd be very tempted to go with Kresh the Bloodbraided. 5 mana for a 3/3 isn't very spicy, but he quickly can get very, very out of hand, it's not unusual for you to do something like Mandate of Abaddon or Phyrexian Scriptures and then one shot people one at a time with your gigantic Kresh. Lots of cards synergize with Kresh, ranging from Grim Feast and anything that works with/is Rite of the Raging Storm. Big Goad effects like Disrupt Decorum and Spectacular Showdown also add a nasty surprise, and Insurrection is a great turn-around-is-fair-play type effect for an Archenemy. You can even make the deck on the cheap using stuff like Fleshbag Marauder (there are a bajillion at this point, especially if you'll pay 4 for a 4 power one), these generate a lot of power if you also have Savra, Queen of the Golgari (or something similar) out. Pestilence and similar effects are very good in here, they let you both clear out weenie blockers while also pumping Kresh ever bigger by winnowing away the chaff. Kresh will quickly crush everyone, you just need to add fun stuff like evasion or trample to make his immense power count. If you build this right it should be quite scary to play against, and the odd Fling can be a nice way to punish the players for killing Kresh.

Another great option might be Sauron, the Dark Lord, the more the party does the bigger the 'threat' gets, and it's almost impossible to remove Sauron. It's easy to sneak in some powerful Changelings to work as a better base army, but the whole 'orc army' thing is in and of itself very stereotypical in D&D. I like Grixis because you get Blue, meaning you have access to the odd counter. In particular I'd look into stuff like Stronghold Machinist, effect-on-a-stick creatures are good for an Archenemy because they tend to soak up the opponent's cards, even something like Royal Assassin is card advantage over time. Since the Army can get pretty big you can use Voltron stuff with it, and if you use Anthems (Berserkers' Onslaught, Dauthi Embrace, and Whip of Erebos come to mind) they'll work on both the Army and Sauron, which is cool Big Bad energy for the deck.

Board wide damage effects seem pretty good with your Commander, Pestilence, Pyrohemia, Chain Reaction and Blasphemous Act all jump out as good enough cards. Mandate of Abaddon is probably well beyond good if Kresh is at all beefy, he'll suddenly be even bigger on an empty board if all goes well. As long as your Commander has at least 4 toughness Ezuri's Predation would be hilarious, even if a bunch of 4/4s bite the bullet your Commander just gets bigger.

Rite of the Raging Storm seems almost unholy with your Commander, I normally love this card but here you are going to be farming 5 power creatures over and over, and they're never attacking you.

They're both small and random, but Temur Battle Rage and Tainted Strike can both turn your Commander into a 1 shot fairly easily.

If your Commander is fairly big then Return of the Wildspeaker, Rishkar's Expertise, Soul's Majesty, Momentous Fall (also good if your Commander is going to die, as is Greater Good), Grothama, All-Devouring, and Mask of Griselbrand can all draw you a decent number of cards. Overwhelming Stampede and Fungal Sprouting both seem very good with your Commander.

I like Fight effects if I suspect I'll have the biggest body on the board, Ulvenwald Tracker, Domri, Anarch of Bolas, Kogla, the Titan Ape, and Thorn Mammoth are pretty good sources you can repeat.

Thunderfoot Baloth, Siege Behemoth, Kamahl, Heart of Krosa, Blossoming Bogbeast, and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma are decent sources of Trample that are stapled to a body, and they're all fairly budget. Keep an eye out incase Pathbreaker Ibex goes down in price, that's a very good effect with your Commander. Just a heads up, but if you run lots of sources of Trample for your Commander, then anything that provides Deathtouch looks a ton better, with Deathtouch you just deal 1 damage per creature and Trample over the rest. Bow of Nylea, Saryth, the Viper's Fang, and Ohran Frostfang are all very good sources afaik, there are others kicking around if you look!
