Why Teshar? Show

Playing a mono-white deck in a mono-blue or multicolour competitive environment is a challenge. You can't counter spells willy-nilly the way the Teferi and Jace decks do, nor can you assemble one specific combo over the space of a turn with consistent tutoring. Redundancy, planning and hate are how Teshar wins games. You have interaction, but it is more focused than the decks that can afford to play nothing but. You don't play this deck because you want to control the game every step of the way; it's the oddball deck with combos that are very, very hard to stop once you draw into them- exiling cards off the stack is generally the only way, as recursion in this deck is plentiful.

Win Conditions Show

There are multiple win conditions to ensure you pull one alongside the rest of a combo. Aside from being able to mill your opponents out via Altar of Dementia or Grinding Station plus you have the traditional damage outlet of Walking Ballista or Blasting Station, or using Blind Obedience with any free creature loop.

Combos Show

=This deck has a LOT of moving pieces that can be substituted for many others, which is the real strength of the deck, so there are some combos that aren't listed because they behave in a similar way to one that is.

Glint Hawk + Mox Opal + Sol Ring + sac outlet == infinite mana, which can power Walking Ballista, having Blasting Station as the sac outlet or Altar of Dementia to self-mill into a damage outlet.

Myr Retriever (or any artifact recursion creature) + Lotus Petal + sac outlet == infinite mana, same conditions as above.

Krark-Clan Ironworks + Myr Retriever + any artifact == infinite mana. You can use Sensei's Divining Top as the additional piece, tap it to draw a card but hold priority and sacrifice it before the ability resolves, thus also enabling you to draw your deck.

Salvager of Ruin + Lotus Petal + Blind Obedience == win. You sacrifice the Petal for mana, sacrifice the Salvager to return the Petal to hand, cast the Petal, using the mana in pool to pay Obedience's extort trigger and returning the Salvager to play via Teshar.
