I'm playtesting a gates deck right now and I used a The Mycosynth Gardens to copy my Amulet of Vigor and I want to produce extra mana by untapping gates multiple times when I play them. But I have a Gond Gate in play. Can I choose to have the gates enter play tapped so I produce the extra manna?

Also if I put them into play with a ramp spell like Hour of Promise can I choose to have the Gond Gate replacement effect happen first then the tapped clause of the spell second so they enter tapped and trigger the Amulet of Vigor?

Haha, I'm still trying to see if there's any other artifacts worth copying with The Mycosynth Gardens beyond the obvious Amulet of Vigor.

Cosima, God of the Voyage  Flip seems like an interesting version of Tireless Tracker where you don't need to invest mana, but I am still not sure if the backside is worth copying, even though it lets us swing with Azusa, Lost but Seeking sort of, or capitalize with the creature side if we can't get through. I'll try it out, best thing I could find so far, even though highly situational, and probably a little slow.

Surprisingly nothing really comes to mind, but I will keep thinking about how to abuse the new deck.

Unfortunately, no, and I don't think it is feasible to try to fit it in here with 4x The Mycosynth Gardens either. Prior to that, this would have been a great card, and we could have played a Godless Shrine alongside a third fetch and ran 3-4 each of Golgari Rot Farm and Selesnya Sanctuary (trim on Simic Growth Chambers) with no real downside to speak of.

Now, it fells like a bit too much of an investment for a backup plan. I still think it is a great card, but I don't think I can fit it in here without trading off some explosiveness by making some other cuts I really don't want to.

Also, as unintuitive as it sounds, I think The Mycosynth Gardens is worse than Urza's Saga but am running more copies of it. I found 7 to be my ideal number of the two lands, but I found that an opening hand with double Urza's Saga was usually worse than double The Mycosynth Gardens since you are forced to blow up your own lands with Urza's Saga while retaining the option with The Mycosynth Gardens.

It's a little anti-intuitive, because I 100% believe Urza's Saga is the better land, it is just worse in multiples and worse to draw into, so The Mycosynth Gardens gets the edge when I was considering which to keep at 4 copies and which to cut to 3.

Holy powercreep batman XD w/ the The Mycosynth Gardens(should be legendary imo) and Tyrranax Rex this is my favorite. glad it found its way into my favorite style of combo deck.

It’s not, but all of the various ways the deck attacks various weaknesses makes it a tougher matchup. There’s probably not a correct answer, but figured I would ask.

Maindeck Haywire Mite could be something worth consideration, especially since it can be found with Urza's Saga or copied with The Mycosynth Gardens now, in the matches where it is relevant. In the side, I would prefer some other options, mainly because of the noncreature clause.

The blocker in a pinch, lifegain, and removal may just do enough for inclusion, thanks.

I already run dismember in the side, best removal option for the deck honestly.
