This deck is based around flooding the board with zombies if possible. This is mainly due to the fact that Varina, Lich Queen rewards us for having lots of zombies and attack with them. In order to make sure that the opponents can't block our zombies, we run Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, but more importantly Zombie Master. Another way to give the zombies evasion is to have Wonder in the graveyard.

The reason the commander and deck have changed is due to the fact that I began disliking The Scarab God's playstyle. Most of the time you just played zombies and never attacked as you watched your opponents slowly die to your upkeep clock. This ended up getting boring relatively fast, and it also made me the target in our group if I played out my commander. After spending some time playtesting with Varina, Lich Queen I can definitely say that she is a lot more fun to play. Even if your graveyard is stock full of cards you can use Varina, Lich Queen's activated ability to refill your board even after a board wipe.

Even though Gisa and Geralf aren't a zombie they are in the deck mainly due to the fact that they were this deck's original commander, however they work wonders in the deck since we will be looting and filling our bins with lots of creatures.
