Wooshadoodle: I've ran it in the past! It's a great control card against multi color decks and good against control decks that like to say "no" to green spells. It provides a lot of benefits for Omnath and minimal drawbacks since you can pool all your green mana before the end of your turn. I may slot it back in at some point :)

Sylvan Library is great card selection/draw in green and is a definite upgrade to Mirri's Guile. If you're playing Library then you can easily justify room for Abundance since they combo together for 3 land or nonland cards per turn without loss of life.
I find Praetor's Council to be preferable over Creeping Renaissance. While we're looking at green recursion Greenwarden of Murasa is a big bodied Eternal Witness that offers the opportunity to grab a second card later. Skullwinder is also very strong. I dislike that it benefits an opponent in addition to you but that isn't completely a downside. Sometimes an opponent will have a card in their graveyard that can benefit both of you (such as a key removal spell for a troublesome permanent you don't control).
Woodland Bellower makes for a great toolbox. Just from the cards you're already playing he finds Eternal Witness, Scavenging Ooze, Magus of the Candelabra, Ulvenwald Tracker and Fierce Empath. If you use Bellower to find Fierce Empath it means he can search for any creature in your deck that doesn't have CMC 4 or 5. Other useful cards that Bellower can hunt for that you're not playing include Reclamation Sage, the aforementioned Skullwinder, Loaming Shaman, and Fauna Shaman.
Genesis Wave may not be in your deck because you mentioned that you removed a lot of the premium green staples to tone your power level down. But just in case I'm going to mention it here.
I see a lot of people trying to convince you into playing Nissa, Worldwaker. Do it. I have an Omnath deck as well and she's very strong. She costs a virtual 1 mana after activating her ability and generates profit every turn after that. You don't need to play her instead of either Garruk, I play her alongside both of them. And short of a board wipe, her ult wins the game. It is a risky ultimate but powerful nonetheless.

Midwest: I ran Sylvan Library and cut it to dumb the deck down a little, but now that you brought up the combo with Abundance (a card I honestly never bothered to read fully lol), I'm throwing it back in because it just seems like pure 100% win.
Same deal with Praetor's Counsel, I used to run it, cut it, but now it's going back. I'm also cutting Doubling Cube to give this Nissa a shot. Cube is always a win more card, imo, and Nissa just nets you that mana instantly, and with a doubler out, she just looks amazing.
The reason i removed a lot of "overpowered" cards was because the meta at my new LGS wasn't as competitive as my old LGS, but that has changed in the last year since I moved, so time to pump the power back up a bit :D
Thanks for the input :)

Wave of Vitriol is way more mana efficient, and you have the forests to back it up. Woodfall is just too expensive of a mana cost to be used.
Soul's Majesty is good, I run it often, and it's good here as well, but elemental bond is really efficient. This suggestion is to help lower your average CMC, but I would consider dropping some of your dead weight for Elemental Bond.
He is just way too expensive. If you really want hexproof on your creatures you already have Asceticism and if you want to remove hexproof you already have Arcane Lighthouse. If you still need more hexproof, consider instant speed spells that give it such as Vines of Vastwood, Ranger's Guile, Sheltering Word.
--Things that are just not good enough, give advantages to your opponent, or have better options of the same nature:
Suggested Additions:Hydra Broodmaster,Managorger Hydra,Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip,Soul of the Harvest,Surrak, the Hunt Caller,Thunderfoot Baloth,Vigor,Genesis Wave,Nature's Lore / Three Visits,Shamanic Revelation,Spidersilk Armor (probably better side board),Emerald Medallion,Sol Ring
Sorry for the long post! I just really like green decks in commander :3
February 9, 2016 8:57 a.m.
No problemo on the long posts, I love those :D
Woodfall Primus/Wave of Vitriol - Pros on Wave, it's legit non-creature board wipe. Cons, it thins your opponents decks out and you may or may not be coming out on top depending on what your opponents have on board. I may cut Primus for some other type of utility, maybe Surrak.
Archetype of Endurance - Being able to Tooth and Nail, Chord, or Natural Order for this guy can be pivotal if your facing down control decks.
Realm Seekers - Is an absolute champ and whoever isn't running him in their mono green deck is missing out on a great way to fetch out utility lands.
Spike Weaver - Another mvp that often gets overlooked by newer players. Trust me, this guy is better than he seems.
Skullwinder - I can see the potential drawback, but being able to recur a card you absolutely need is key. Choose an opponent with trash in their gy if all else fails.
Farhaven Elf - Can probably be replaced with a cheaper sorcery speed ramp you mentioned.
Temur Sabertooth - This guy absolutely breaks the game for green when it comes to ETBs. You also have the ability to go infinite with him and Patron of the Orochi, Magus of the Candelabra, or Karametra's Acolyte.
Thousand-Year Elixir - You want to tap down Patron, Magus, or Karametra's Acolyte the turn they hit the field. Untapping them for more mana? Sure. This artifact lets you go off and end the game on your turn.
Mana gorger Hydra - Not a fan. This guy will die the instant he gets big enough.
Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip - I don't feel she does enough. Her land etb doesn't have you place the land in the battlefield and it takes 7 lands before she flips. Between her and Origins Chandra, I'm not sure which is the worst from that set.
Surrak, the Hunt Caller - I've been trying to find a way to squeeze him in. I really like him.
Genesis Wave - Always an auto-include for green. I took it out to dumb the deck down a little and have been adding things back in slowly as my meta improved. I'll get this back in eventually.
Vigor - I guess he lets you swing without abandon. I used to run him years ago. This isn't really an aggro deck that swings out every turn. I feel that's what Vigor is more suited for.
Spidersilk Armor- No lol.
Shamanic Revelation - I've thought about running it, life gain doesn't hurt. It will probably be between this or Hunter's Insight.

the only reason I suggested Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip was because she was a strictly better Farhaven Elf. In my player group, you cannot afford to give your opponent any sort of advantage (why I dislike Skullwinder), and instant value is hugely important. That's why I prefer cards that are going to do things on the spot, or at least mana efficient. Hence my propensity for mana efficient creatures that do things such as Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip, Surrak, the Hunt Caller, or Soul of the Harvest. I do agree that Realm Seekers and Spike Weaver are godlike power houses in commander, but for mono green omnath do you really need Realm Seekers? What utility lands are so important that you need to use 9 mana to get just one of those lands? Gaea's Cradle and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx are the best gets, but for that you can just run things like Crop Rotation,Sylvan Scrying or my personal favorite: Tempt with Discovery. or if you just want more lands on the field fast Boundless Realms is solid. As for Spike Weaver he's strictly meta dependent, so if you need it go for it. Anywho love the deck so far! It's always great to see more people who share my love for mono green in commander!

Oh! Also! forget ever tutoring for Archetype of Endurance with Tooth and Nail. If you're ever gonna Tooth and Nail there are way better two creature combinations that will end the game and are better than Archetype of Endurance and anything else. these include but are not limited to:
or if you really need draw:
(If you have Concordant Crossroads out)
February 9, 2016 1:57 p.m.
You sold me on Nissa, Vastwood Seer, she is definitely a better option than Farhaven Elf. I'm going to sub out Archetype of Endurance and main board City of Solitude; I have been trying to lower my curve and his cmc is a bit high.
If Skullwinder ends up betraying me, I'll cut him, but so far he has not benefited an opponent any more than it has benefited me. You can always go for the opponent with the least dangerous cards to recur, or it can even get a card that the table may need to reel someone back in that is getting out of control.
I think I'll also give Tempt with Discovery a shot over Realm Seekers. Though, Realm Seekers is a boss when they come out mid or late game. Having a Gaea's Cradle or Nykthos out with Mana Reflection and/or a Magus of the Candelabra, or Garruk, Primal Hunter can enable you to bust the game wide open in one turn and being able to Tooth and Nail, Chord, Green Sun, etc., for them is flat out amazing if you want to get that precious utility land out. I agree you should Tooth and Nail for game finishers, but sometimes those creatures don't always finish games for you depending on your current board state or the board state staring at you across the table.. The only problem I see with Tempt is that if it comes out late game I don't see opponents allowing you to let it trigger for additional searches.

Thanks for reminding me about Arachnogenesis! I remember seeing it when these last Commander decks came out and wanting to give it a run.
February 11, 2016 12:20 a.m.
Primal Order. Sure, you'll take damage, but not as much as anyone not playing mono-colored.
February 18, 2016 4:02 p.m.
Two of my favorite cards in all of Magic are Lurking Predators and Wild Pair. The first allows you to get huge creatures out for free and on your opponents turns no less! The second helps double the number of creatures you can put out on your turn, and you have a wide assortment of creatures that meet the criteria for Wild Pair.
Great deck though! +1 from me.

What about Doubling Cube? With Omnath your mana pool can get pretty big.
June 4, 2016 9:22 p.m.
nvm I see you used to run it. Even then I'd swap Caged Sun for it. Caged Sun can only provide 1 more mana for each land tapped while Doubling Cube can keep doubling all your mana in your pool and the mana it previously doubled and is even cheaper.
June 4, 2016 9:37 p.m.
Boscogn Thanks for the feedback! Yep, I did used to run the ole Cube, but it never lasted long on the table in my play group and instantly draws a bulls-eye on you when your general can just save all that mana you're doubling greedily.

Spoosky Infinite combos are Umbral Mantle + Magus of the Candelabra/Karametra's Acolyte for infinite mana, which also enables infinite bounce with Temur Sabertooth. If you have a flash outlet it's nigh impossible to disrupt whatever it is you want to do at that point. The reason I run Life's Legacy is because I like to draw a big chunk of cards at a time, it's a great card in a green deck.
July 26, 2016 7:54 a.m.
This deck looks like it is really good and I am just getting into mono green and I was curious as to why you run all is dust in here?
August 14, 2016 1:59 a.m.
KriegerLovesShockFights - All Is Dust is a great card for mono green if the board is out of control since this isn't the color for board wipes. Yeah, it sacs your board too, but you probably aren't casting it if you're in control of the game :)
August 14, 2016 4:12 p.m.
Hello thanks for the response. How would you feel about putting in a Yavimaya Hollow in your deck.
August 16, 2016 2:53 p.m.
If any of you are looking for ideas on how to build an alternate style of mono green EDH deck, give my green combo deck a look. It plays like a blue deck (flash and big card draw) and has a red win condition (burn). It's called It's Admittedly Easy Being Green Combo Burn. For some reason the hyperlink won't work.
September 22, 2016 12:19 p.m.
KriegerLovesShockFights I used to run it actually, even got a nice foil version of it haha. I feel it's a good card for green no doubt, but I was also feeling the mana base was getting a little rough when it came to just straight up Forests. I may remove Buried Ruin for it since having an extra way to regen a crucial creature is never bad.

Gotta love Mono Green Omnath Decks! Check out mine please! Omnath, Locus of Creature Ramp I have already written down several suggestions for my deck from yours.
