This originally started life as my Vish Kal, King of Value (half-tribal, half-sacrifice deck). That deck obviously no longer exists in paper but the decklist can still be found here -> EDH - Vish Kal, King of Value. I had run vampire tribal for a long time before C17 and had never seen the benefit of including red, mainly given that the majority of red vampires from both Innistrad blocks are often costed for limited/standard aggression, not the long games of EDH. However with the value and flavour engine that is Edgar Markov, I had to give it a try. I am still trying to assess whether red is really worth it; but it is worth it for him alone that's for sure!

Updates Add

It has been a while since I have updated this deck; and I think most of my previous updates have been archived. However as with my other decks I want to record any swaps I make and why I am doing them. I think it's time to cut some pet cards so Death Grasp, Skeletal Vampire have both hit the dust in favour of Kazarov, Sengir Pureblood and Cathars' Crusade. I am also struggling to decide between wraths, as I have recently picked up a Urza's Ruinous Blast and a Play of the Game. For now I am going to try Play of the Game over Descend upon the Sinful and see how it goes!
