Maybeboard

First thing is first; the gimmick of this deck idea was NOT thought up by me. I do not know if he has an account here, but there is a legend of a man at my LGS and my local playgroup who thought of the main idea for this deck (I wanted to make it when it was spoiled but had no idea how I'd do it). It runs only two creatures in the deck besides Kefnet the Mindful in the command zone. You see, there is this blue card called Polymorph, which destroys a creature, then the owner of the creature flips cards from the top of their library until they hit a creature card. The thing is... it has no "and if you do" clause. Kefnet is indestructible. So by targeting Kefnet, Polymorph becomes four mana for "Reveal until you hit Consecrated Sphinx/Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and put it on your field". All while you get to keep Kefnet.

The rest of the deck is a control package and mana doubling to make use of Kefnet's effect. It wins via blue beats and soft-locking the board (the thing is, there is a trick I haven't learned yet to the soft lock. The moment I do I will update. I gotta ask the master for that one). So you play the control game with a 3 drop flying, indestructible commander with an easy to turn on clause going for commander damage (which adds up if you decide to play Blackblade Reforged or Runechanter's Pike.

While this is fun, even the guy who thought of this fully admits that comparatively, it's a bad commander. But that's sort of the point. He wanted something not as powerful as his Tasigur, the Golden Fang deck. That's sort of how it is for me, too; The Gitrog Monster is going to be my really competitive deck. Kefnet is my lower tier deck for other games, or when I really just want to not have to do as much as the frog requires. Also, I'll make it no secret that I was hopelessly in love with the Amonkhet block, and I wanted a lasting reminder of it with me.

Thanks for reading everyone, and I hope you enjoyed!
