I have been slowly building this list over the past four months. It started out as just a creature deck with +1/+1 counter shenanigans, until I added proliferate...and proliferate wants infect. At least I think it does. I always thought infect was a fun and interesting mechanic, and I like things that speed up games. The only problem is infect does not make many friends.
Because infect doesn't make friends, when I play this deck, I don't let on that I am running infect until I have ramped into some more mana, and established a board state that has allowed for Ezuri to gain some experience. On more than one occasion I have been able to play Ezuri on turn two, spend turns three - five/six playing creatures to get experience (while ramping), and let the infect hit the table anywhere from turn 5 onward (situation dependent of course). I have (unsurprisingly) found it difficult to deter aggression once the table knows what I'm up to. The deck is pretty straight forward. It plays plenty of smaller creatures, plenty of creatures and various other things to make the little creatures bigger, some of those creatures have infect, and finally proliferate. Being in Simic colors, it doesn't normally struggle with ramp nor card draw, however, there is little in the way of protection. Compared to other decks, it may be quite fragile. I am currently waiting on a few cards to come in the mail. I know there are some definite upgrades/improvements to be made. I am interested to see where the deck can go from here.
