Maybeboard


This deck was built to be my version of what a precon should be, it was made with a $50 budget. The deck focuses on getting Darien, King of Kjeldor out as soon as possible and leaning heavily on his ability to create tokens when you take damage. This is encouraged through the Monarch mechanic Court of Ardenvale, Palace Sentinels, Archon of Coronation, as well as Contested War Zone working in the same way as both a way to bait out an attack as well as allowing for the catch-up ramp style available in white to work better, this is also why Memorial to Glory, Blighted Steppe, and Nomad Stadium are included. If our opponents are not taking the bait we can always self damage through Jade Monolith, Angel's Trumpet, Torture Chamber,Sivvi's Valor, or Blood of the Martyr. After amassing a huge army we can use an overrun effect like Skyshaper, Spare from Evil, Brave the Elements, or Odric, Master Tactician to get lethal damage through.

Updates Add

Added initiative mechanic with Undercellar Sweep and White Plume Adventurer to further incentivize opponent attacks. Swapped Defense Grid for Spelltithe Enforcer, the symmetrical effect of defense grid led to protection spells being unplayable on opponents turns, swapped for an asymmetrical option. Added Sublime Archangel to expand win con options to include commander damage combined with Rogue's Passage or other overrun effects. Added Elspeth, Sun's Champion to act as a boardwipe if behind, and a decent token generator with a useful ultimate if I can protect her.
