Sisay Shrines with weird twsts

Commander / EDH

It's on surface a very simple Sisay shrines deck that seems very dedicated to shrines. After playing Sisay, it's highly likely that on a case where you can't play a shrine from hand, you will have to settle for a Sanctum of Tranquil Lights and build up her power one after one. Do not underestimate Sanctum of Tranquil Lights, it is secretly a bit of Stax, it can save your life on multiple fronts or stop an attack entirely, especially after you get a few shrines. However, it is likely to see Sisay getting blown up, in which case your built ramp and mana will be used to cast Ultimatums, best one is Emergent Ultimatum where you search for Omniscience, Bolas's Citadel, and something like Grim Tutor, after which you have a chance to go nova and combo out. But all Ultimatums can greatly help your gameplan.

However this decks greatest strength comes from how sudden it can pivot, as the deck runs all 5 Epic spells, the deck is built in a way where all 5 of them when played even just on their own will be useful to a decent degree. The high mana value of this deck fuels Undying Flames damage, things like Reliquary Tower helps you build up hand sizes to fuel Endless Swarm and Neverending Torment, and of course the abundance of Enchantments fuels Enduring Ideal. Eternal Dominion needs no extra help as it can sometimes just win on its own, due to its effects, politics becomes quite important sometimes. After which, with Sisay and many activated abilities in this deck (Thran Temporal Gateway, Planar Bridge) that skips the casting and directly puts permanents on battlefield cards, you can instead of feeling locked out of playing Magic for using an Epic spell, play it in a completely different but still in a fun and interactive way.

The deck has a few small and major combos: Paradox Haze is incredibly powerful in this deck as most shrines have upkeep abilities, and this gives you more Epic Spells triggers as well, it synergizes with like half the deck, its about one of the best cards in the deck.

Enchanted Evening + Sphere of Safety + Sterling Grove builds an completely invincible wall against almost everything but boardwipes. Note: Leyline of Sanctity and Enchanted Evening I've currently removed from the deck due to how this makes me almost entirely untouchable unless my opponent draws very specific counters, but that's an easy upgrade.

Flowering of the White Tree + Jodah, the Unifier + Sisay, Weatherlight Captain This gives the deck a seriously strong Voltron capability when things call, as all Go-Shintai are Legendary Creatures as well, this makes Sisay suddenly a Voltron that you can swing at people and get some board presence.

Any of the 5 Epic Spells + Thran Temporal Gateway/Planar Bridge/Prismatic Bridge/Sisay, Weatherlight Captain/Sanctum of All/Go-Shintai of Life's Origin As the Epic ability locks you out of casting spells for the rest of the game, you can still trigger any activated abilities like usual. This combo allows you to essentially cheat your way around the Epic ability, and in fact get around most things that counters casting spells, and play magic almost like "normal".

Omniscience + Leyline of Anticipation + Thousand-Year Storm + Undying Flames + Neverending Torment + Endless Swarm + Enduring Ideal + Eternal Dominion: Here's the real bomb of the deck, this is the combo you use when you really and absolutely needs to send a message. Epic ability makes it copy itself without the Epic ability, however, if the original Epic spell was copied, that does mean you get more copies afterwards. So ofc, you need infinite mana from Omniscience, Leyline that gives all your spells Flash, Thousand Year Storm to copy more of your Epic spells, and walla, you dump out all 5 Epic Spells in one turn all flashed right after another, creating lots and lots of copies. Your opponent will not be laughing for very long when you suddenly build an impenetrable wall of angry shrines and enchantments, completely crippling their deck and stealing their key cards or outright exiling them, making an army of snakes, and with a lot of damage to send into someones face. You do need to tutor everything with a card like Conflux however.
