Update

Well, this deck has changed significantly since its original build. It was fairly good at doing its thing then, but is now more focussed and capable.

Mana

Mana base is quite budget-focussed. Lots of basics, with Thaumatic Compass   to keep us on track, and lots of artifact ramp.

Infinity and Beyond

Isochron Scepter has 3 options, so you're more likely make use of it. First prize is Dramatic Reversal, the infinite combo engine, but Vision Skeins is a neat draw and Reverberate can be extremely powerful.

Some card draw

Lots of ways to abuse card draw, both directly (Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Psychosis Crawler) and indirectly through Locusts (Impact Tremors and Purphoros, God of the Forge). Insects replenish themselves via Bident of Thassa and Coastal Piracy. If you can't get through, sac them to Goblin Bombardment and double the damage with Outpost Siege. This combined with the etb triggers make damage pile up fast.

And Some For You

A lot of the draw spells are symmetrical, which makes other players happy, temporarily. Fevered Visions is the only non-black card that punishes opponent draws, but of course it can always be denied by Narset, Parter of Veils. Molten Psyche is a finisher on this line.

Closing Thought

That's a brief run-down of the main themes, obviously there are other lines around maximising value from instants and sorceries, and the basic removal package, but hopefully you can figure those out. Enjoy!
