Trying out a Nightmare

Trying something out and making some big mana decisions in order to do so. We'll see how this runs. Deck needs to be a bit quicker - so I added cards like Minds Aglow and Day's Undoing for thematic spice and some politics. Also increases my chance of getting the things I need or picking up a nifty Transmute card.
Added also Mirrorhall Mimic Flip - plays as a decent copy skill but the disturb cost is like Helm of the Host which used to be in the earliest rendition of this deck - except it's faster. Sleep with the Fishes is thematic, puts a creature to sleep, and gives me an unblockable creature that I can make a Sandman with - albeit the cost is a little steep. It might be too gimicky but we'll see.
Nether Traitor is just such a good card - Haste and Shadow and return from Graveyard effects to keep it on the field. It's a win/win/win card in this deck.
Worst Fears is just a good way of controlling the field. It's also very thematic - we'll see how this card effects things. The 8 cost might be a bit too steep but we'll see.
In the end, took out Hisoka's Guard, Phantom Warrior, Royal Assassin, Peek, and Fogwalker - will keep them in the side board just in case I decide to add any back, though I'm doubting how useful Hisoka has been. Having Fogwalker out also hurts - the art is just so good and it's a great inbetween card. We'll see.

Added in a Sword of Truth and Justice, Sword of Light and Shadow along with the full art foil Lightning Greaves, all gifted to me by my absolutely phenomenal little sister. Love ya kiddo, thanks for helping me collect all the precious artifacts <3

-1 Hanged Executioner, +1 Lita, Mechanical Engineer - Hanged Executioner was a mistake I overlooked for a while. I thought it would be repeatable removal with Teshar, because I misread it as sacrificing the Executioner, not exiling.

-1 Acererak the Archlich, +1 Kitesail Larcenist - Kitesail should have an interesting play pattern here. Because it can be ninjutsu'd back to my hand, if they use the treasure I can change targets. If they don't hoping I'll do just that, then they are letting it lock down things like commanders for even longer rather than replaying them. We'll see how it plays out.
-1 Blood Curdle, +1 The End - The exile side of this will rarely come up, but it'll still let me peek at hands no matter what and lets it hit planeswalkers. And it'll be brutal if anyone ever animates a basic.
-1 Azure Fleet Admiral, +1 Talion, the Kindly Lord - Better source of card advantage than admiral. Talion has worse evasion, but resetting the number is a potent use of ninjutsu-ing Talion back to hand.

Added in Gruul Turf and Golgari Rot Farm in place of Wasteland and Strip Mine. With Spelunking in the deck plus all the ways it can have additional land drops, you can have pseudo-rituals with all those pieces in play.
Is it far too much investment for an additional boost of mana? Yes.
Will I still do it? ABSO-FOOKIN'-LUTELY.
Renewed intrested in Pioneer

I have recently had a renewed interested in pioneer. As such I've giving some much needed love and updating to one of my favorite decks to play. I have cut Taigam's Scheming in favor of the new Wail of the forgotten to have some more flexibly answers to the other players board. I will be playtesting so other options as the deck hasn't been updated in the last several sets.

Subtracted: Intellectual Offering would only see play late game and by the time I do, people have already decided that my deck isn't to be trusted. As for Geist of the Archives, it doesn't really add much to the deck.
I decided to include Chromatic Lantern because despite having more Islands than Swamps, for some reason I constantly find myself mostly short of a single Blue Mana and it ends up with me being useless for 4+ turns. This fixes that problem.
I also added Horobi, Death's Wail and holy crap how did I not come across this sooner? I stumbled across this card in a card discussion about spell-synergies. This card is perfect - it allows for more active interaction. And the most common criticism people have of my deck is that they wish instead of tapping something forever, it gets removed instead. Having spells combo like Niblis of Frost + Hidden Strings + Strionic Resonator have the potential of mass-creature removal. If anything, it's a cheaper version of Dismiss into Dream with target spells. Can't wait to try out this card more often.
