This is my Thunderstorm theme deck. I conceived it one day while looking at my friend's Storm Crow . I decided that since I love lightning, clouds, and the sky in general, I should build a deck where all the cards are lightning, clouds, weather and sky. Even the art for the lands I selected depict lightning or stormy skies, or at least birds to represent Storm Crow s, and the Murder of Crows that used to be in the deck. Cards like Serendib Sorcerer that aren't directly connected to the theme appear to have lightning in the art.

Oh, boy... 60 cards just isn't enough. I mix it up once in a while using cards in the maybeboard. As much as Stormwatch Eagle and Lightning Diadem fit the theme, it's just not practical to play with inferior cards to maintain a theme.

Imagine my delight when I saw Ral Zarek spoiled; they printed a planeswalker just for me and my Thunderstorm deck! I got super lucky.. the very last booster I opened from the Dragon's Maze Fat Pack I bought had a foil Ral Zarek.

I hope to one day acquire Lightning Storm and Storm Cauldron .
