Toshiro's effect allows you re-cast an instant spell whenever a creature your opponent controls, dies. To take advantage of this, the deck uses a variety of cards to kills creatures, with many of them being instants, allowing them to be recast by his ability.

Winning with the deck is possible in 2 ways. You can either win with Revel in Riches, getting yourself 10 treasure, or through damage. Effects like that of Exsanguinate and Killing Wave allow you to deal damage to many people at once, with mana doublers like Caged Sun and Crypt Ghast, they can be game winning or devastating. You also win with their own creatures with cards that allow for the recursion of other player's creatures to your side and perhaps using a Tainted Strike for a fatal blow.
