Introduction

This deck was made as a budget commander deck for MTGO. Because it was made on a budget, it might be a little bit behind on other decks. That's why most of our strategy is taking advantage of other players' decks.

The Commander

The leader of this deck is Lazav, Dimir Mastermind. While he requires some work to actually be usefull, (our opponents have to put creatures in their graveyard somehow), he has almost endless posibilities. Opponent mills a fatty? My commander is now a fatty. The hexproof is a nice bonus that keeps Lazav safe from spot removal.

The Gameplan

As mentioned in the introduction, we want to steal our opponents stuff. We can steal cards from our opponents library with Nightveil Specter, Thada Adel, Acquisitor (very handy to steal mana rocks), Praetor's Grasp to take out some combo pieces or well... anything, Talent of the Telepath and Telemin Performance.

For a lot of our cards, including our commander, we want our opponents to put cards in their graveyard. We achieve this with Consuming Aberration, Evil Twin, Mindshrieker, Nephalia Drownyard, Grisly Spectacle, Perplex, Psychic Strike, Coerced Confession, Pilfered Plans, Talent of the Telepath (again) and Memory Erosion. As you can see, all of these cards work in a slightly different way to fill our opponents graveyard, each with their own upsides, be it draw, control or the ability to tutor.

When our opponents finally have some good stuff in their graveyard, the real fun can begin. See a big bad brute in there? Take it. (Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, Puppeteer Clique, Sepulchral Primordial, Beacon of Unrest, Animate Dead)

See a strong spell in there? Steal it. (Chancellor of the Spires, Diluvian Primordial, Psychic Intrusion, Spelltwine)

Opponent has a strong creature in play? So do I now. (Clone, Cryptoplasm, Dominating Licid, Evil Twin, Vesuvan Shapeshifter, Stolen Identity, Followed Footsteps)

Conclusion

Keep your deck cheap by letting your opponents play the expensive cards and keep every game exciting. You never know which cards you will play this game.
