I was amazed by Varolz' ability, combined with cheap, huge creatures like Death's Shadow or Phyrexian Dreadnought, so I decided to build a deck around him. He can possibly swing for lethal (commander damage or poison) just a few turns into the game.

Tried to keep the deck on a budget (hence no expensive lands, Entomb, Damnation, Demonic Tutor etc. ), but Phyrexian Dreadnought and Death's Shadow are neccessary for the deck to work well. I originally wanted Thrun in there, too, but replaced him with Troll Ascetic for financial reasons :D Still not sure if Green Sun's Zenith and Trasverse the Ulvenwald are worth the money..

Suggestions are welcome :)

How to play:

• Put the huge creatures (Death's Shadow, Phyrexian Dreadnought, Hunted Horror etc.) into your graveyard with Buried Alive / Jarad's Orders / Grisly Salvage / Commune with the Gods etc.
• cast varolz
• scavenge the fatties onto Varolz, an Infect creature (or Troll Ascetic)
• provide evasion (Bramblewood Paragon / Tuskguard Captain / Rancor / Shizo, Death's Storehouse / Whispersilk Cloak / Brawn)
• potentially kill the opponent in one hit
