Touch of the Void

Sorcery

Devoid (This card has no color.)

Touch of the Void deals 3 damage to target creature or player. If a creature dealt damage this way would die this turn, exile it instead.

A lot of ramp with not enough payoff. You need more big bombs to go with that 1 Pathrazer. Also, the deck needs some removal to be able to combat the opponent's threats. Brutal Expulsion, Reality Hemorrhage, and Touch of the Void could be considered. More lands that produce all 3 colors in the deck would be good also. If you want to stick to your low budget I recommend checking out some Pauper format Eldrazi lists for more ideas. Kozilek's Return and Elder Deep-Fiend also work really well together. Elder Deep-Fiend is a threat that can be cast at Instant speed on the opponents turn that will tap down some of their stuff, like their land early game for example if you can cast the Elder Deep-Fiend with its emerge cost, which you should have no issue doing.

The slate is almost ready... I just want to know which is good out of the following, & which is bad, as well as whether or not Pristine Angel + Concerted Effort + Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty is a legitamite combo that works, & can even deal with Multicolor, & Creature Types regardless of Color.

List: *Gisela, the Broken Blade/Bruna, the Fading Light

*Conduit of Storms  Flip

*Extricator of Sin  Flip

*Hanweir Battlements/Hanweir Garrison

*Lone Rider  Flip

*Smoldering Werewolf  Flip

*Vildin-Pack Outcast  Flip

*Barrage Tyrant

*Consuming Sinkhole

*Crumble to Dust

*Eldrazi Aggressor

*Eldrazi Obligator

*Immobilizer Eldrazi

*Kozilek's Return

*Kozilek's Sentinel

*Maw of Kozilek

*Molten Nursery

*Nettle Drone

*Processor Assault

*Reality Hemorrhage

*Serpentine Spike

*Touch of the Void

*Turn Against

*Vestige of Emrakul

*Vile Aggregate

Which of these do you recommend? I'm adding my last adds before shaving off whole KGs off this deck...

Here are the cards I found that are in such a color:

*Gisela, the Broken Blade/Bruna, the Fading Light

*Hanweir Battlements/Hanweir Garrison

*Conduit of Storms  Flip

*Extricator of Sin  Flip

*Lone Rider  Flip

*Smoldering Werewolf  Flip

*Vildin-Pack Outcast  Flip

*Barrage Tyrant

*Consuming Sinkhole

*Crumble to Dust

*Eldrazi Aggressor

*Eldrazi Obligator

*Immobilizer Eldrazi

*Kozilek's Return

*Kozilek's Sentinel

*Molten Nursery

*Nettle Drone

*Processor Assault

*Reality Hemorrhage (Possible Sunforger Package add?)

*Serpentine Spike

*Touch of the Void

*Turn Against

*Vestige of Emrakul

*Vile Aggregate

Which do you think would be good for my Boros Deck? Also I omitted Eldrazi Displacer as it is a standard for this deck anyway.

Also, one last question, Since my Kozilek Deck is doing nothing but fail the meter, do you think I should run a 5Color Commander, & if so, what?

Here are my personal recommendations (with help from n8dm) for cards to add and cut from the deck. Let me know if you have any questions about cuts or recommendations.

Let's start with permanents:

  • First off, I'd recomment Cast Through Time, very fun especially with Swarm Intelligence.
  • Talrand, Sky Summoner provides aerial blockers and an alternate win condition in case you can't burn out your opponent.
  • Mizzix of the Izmagnus and Baral, Chief of Compliance are great for cost reduction of spells.
  • Nivix Guildmage is a great copy engine.
  • Guttersnipe helps with burning out your opponent.
  • Mnemonic Wall and Archaeomancer help get back your good spells.
  • The Mirari Conjecture does the same thing as the two above, but it's a saga.
  • Metallurgic Summonings helps with getting out chump blockers.
  • Jaya Ballard is a really great addition to the deck.
  • Finally, Precognition Field is good card filtering.
  • Now for instants and sorceries:

  • I would recommend Crush of Tentacles, as it's the perfect boardwipe for the deck.
  • I'm gonna recommend the burn spell Jaya's Immolating Inferno, it's a personal favorite.
  • Snap is great for double casting to trigger Jori En, Ruin Diver.
  • Scour from Existence, Rapid Hybridization, and Chaos Warp are great instant speed removal.
  • Pull from Tomorrow is an amazing card draw spell that fits the X cost theme.
  • Lastly, Beacon of Tomorrows allows for some easy infinite turns if you draw your whole deck (doable:Pull from Tomorrow copied a few times).
  • Now to recommend some cards to cut:

  • Brutal Expulsion is too expensive for a pretty weak effect, it's essentially an expensive version of a weaker Remand + Shock combo.
  • I would like to question your addition of Clockspinning, as it can really only be applied to 3-4 targets.
  • Fall of the Titans is not the greatest of burn spells. It might seem good, but you'll never be able to cast it at full potential, as playing it for its surge cost does require you to spend mana on another spell.
  • I'd recommend you cut Magma Spray, there's much better removal out there.
  • Refuse isn't that great because you have to get it into your graveyard to take advantage of its aftermath effects, that paired with the fact that its initial effect is pretty weak.
  • Turn is also rather weak in this format.
  • Aphetto Alchemist and Fatestitcher have very limited application here, it seems as if you run them just to support Echo Mage and Pyromancer's Goggles.
  • Pyromancer's Assault is too weak , too much of an investment without enough of a payout.
  • Honden of Infinite Rage and Honden of Seeing Winds could be cut as the floor is too low and the ceiling isn't high enough, you're only running two of them.
  • Touch of the Void is pretty much a sorcery speed 3 drop bolt.
  • Teleportal can be cut seeing as you don't have many creatures that you'll be attacking with. The two you do have, Hypersonic Dragon and Sphinx of the Final Word already have flying.
  • Serpentine Spike is way too expensive. It is indeed a 3 for one, but that's at best for 7 mana. I'd recommend you just use a red boardwipe along the lines of Blasphemous Act.
  • Recoup doesn't do a whole lot, and it's debatably bad.
  • Processor Assault should be cut and replaced with Flame Slash. Flame Slash is half the mana for one less damage, and there's no additional cost.
  • Master the Way - I'm sorry, but that's just not a good card.
  • It'd be a good idea to replace Hanweir Battlements with Reliquary Tower, as Hanweir Battlements is really just a haste enabler here.
  • Crumble to Dust is not a really great card in a singleton format, and it can be replaced with Pillage.
  • Total suggestions: 24 Total suggested cuts: 18 ; As an extra side question, what's the purpose of all the exile?

The only thing I can see that might help would be a couple of Geier Reach Sanitarium Sea Gate Wreckage maybe some other of the man lands like Ghitu Encampment Hellion Crucible or Gargoyle Castle. Basically lands that let you draw or turn into creatures if by some miracle they make it to the late game. The other thing is more for sideboard, but things like Ghostfire Touch of the Void to get around protection from red. I run an 8 whack zoo hybrid, and I am very weak to burn. The second it I see burn game 1 I throw in Kor Firewalker since it is hard for burn to interact with. Looks like it wins a lot, really enjoyed the effort you put into the description.

If you wanted to make this a truly colourless deck (and a better agrro one as well), try switching your 4 Rakdos's Return for 4 Touch of the Void. Also try switching your 4 Kolaghan's Command for 4 Consuming Sinkhole. While Consuming Sinkhole is a bit less versatile, it does more damage per mana, which is what you want in a burn deck. Also, try and find space for Vile Aggregate, as it is a cheap, over powered Eldrazi card that works great in colourless agrro decks.

    Hope this helps!

Eldrazi Obligator was one of my fav aggro eldrazi. Just need to add some colorless producing lands like Aether Hub or the more affordable Crumbling Vestige. And I would definitely play Wasteland Strangler. Just great killing an early blocker and adding a threat.

You might as well play 4x Incendiary Flow and drop the Touch of the Void. You don't benefit from it being colorless.

Away from budget, a playset of Foreboding Ruins or Smoldering Marsh would instantly make it better. I always invest in lands first as they make the most difference, and can easily be used in other decks. Good luck!

So no great ways to replace flayer? Dang. What modes do you usually hit on Chandra? I'm also curious about the reason behind Touch of the Void in the side. Isn't Incendiary Flow just better? And what are your usual targets with natural state? Btw me building this deck was definitely gonna happen. It's jund with the Amalgam package and I'm obsessed with both of those things. It's the best of both worlds.
