Pledge of Loyalty

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature has protection from the colors of permanents you control. This effect doesn't remove Pledge of Loyalty.

Pledge of Loyalty Discussion

Alright, I got some things down:

*Protection from all colors/Artifacts

*Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty are both useless

*Protection from Multicolor (& naturally in this sense, Monocolored)

*No protection from Eldrazi or other Colorless things w/o Artifact Form.

*Aura's Blow.

But I still have some questions left lingering:

  1. Does this mean Protection from (Creature Type) given the colors of such a thing?

  2. Did I get my facts above right, based on what you guys said?

These are still unanswered. I just want these answered, & I'll decide my answer for this. :)

It's worth noting that Pledge of Loyalty and Concerted Effort interact poorly. Concerted Effort will give your creatures protection from white (and maybe other colors) which will make Pledge of Loyalty fall off, making the trigger less useful next turn.

With the listed cards, your creatures will get flying and protection from all colors and artifacts from Pristine Angel, and protection from colors of permanents you control from Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty (which is redundant with Pristine Angel's "all colors").

Colorless is not a color, so your creatures won't get protection from colorless things. However Pristine Angel will give your creatures protection from artifacts, regardless of whether or not those artifacts are colored.

None of the listed cards will grant protection from any creature types, any card types other than artifacts, or specifically "multicolor," but the protection from all colors will cover multicolored creatures.

None of the listed cards will grant this to you. The only cards I can find in Boros that give you protection of any sort are Runed Halo (specifically named card) and Teferi's Protection (only until your next turn).

Additionally, be aware that using Pristine Angel with Concerted Effort will mean that any auras (other than colorless ones, if they exist) and equipment will "fall off" of your creatures due to the protection.

Pristine Angel + Concerted Effort + Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty

Do I get protection from Pristine Angel, & even from Colorless from the third part (Even from colorless Artifacts?)? Do I get protection from Creature Types, other Card Types, Multicolor, etc.? Also is there a card in Boros that spreads all this to the Player?

Also, I apologize for asking a similar question not too long ago, but I wanted to be sure that the effects to my creatures (& Potentially, me.) really is legit, & how it works step by step. Thanks anyway! ^_^

Actually, to add to this, I was trying to see if Pristine Angel + Concerted Effort + Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty can also give protection from Creature Types, Card Types of such colors, Protection from Colorless, Enemy Effects for those Colors, etc. & if it's a legit combo. Also, is there such a card in Boros' colors that can even spread these effects to the player? Finally, I still want to know if any of post #18's list of cards are even necessary for this deck? I somehow have the urge to make a Tier REDACTED again, & it seems to be shaping as a Toolbox deck like Ocelot44 was guessing... anyone have any answers?

The slate is almost ready... I just want to know which is good out of the following, & which is bad, as well as whether or not Pristine Angel + Concerted Effort + Empty-Shrine Kannushi/Pledge of Loyalty is a legitamite combo that works, & can even deal with Multicolor, & Creature Types regardless of Color.

List: *Gisela, the Broken Blade/Bruna, the Fading Light

*Conduit of Storms  Flip

*Extricator of Sin  Flip

*Hanweir Battlements/Hanweir Garrison

*Lone Rider  Flip

*Smoldering Werewolf  Flip

*Vildin-Pack Outcast  Flip

*Barrage Tyrant

*Consuming Sinkhole

*Crumble to Dust

*Eldrazi Aggressor

*Eldrazi Obligator

*Immobilizer Eldrazi

*Kozilek's Return

*Kozilek's Sentinel

*Maw of Kozilek

*Molten Nursery

*Nettle Drone

*Processor Assault

*Reality Hemorrhage

*Serpentine Spike

*Touch of the Void

*Turn Against

*Vestige of Emrakul

*Vile Aggregate

Which of these do you recommend? I'm adding my last adds before shaving off whole KGs off this deck...

Pledge of Loyalty > Spectra Ward? Woah dude.

I've always wanted to play Hibernation's End, but usually the only creatures I play are Mana Dorks or Big Timmy Bombs.

redkhan pretty easy to do if you Morph it at instant speed after attackers are declared.

I really like Hibernation's End. Like, it tutors every turn. In green. And sure, you have a Yisan-like curve, but by T2 you're getting solid value from various ETB abilities and the toolbox nature of the card. I think it's also going in my K&T deck asap.

I also like Pledge of Loyalty. It's pretty powerful in the age of 4-5 color commanders.
