DECK DESIGN: The Plot
Dog Soldiers was the 1st standard deck my wife helped build, and although it's rotated now, it's still a fun concept. Who doesn't have fun flipping werewolves and tearing your opponents to pieces!SYNERGY: Casting
Werewolves are cunning adversaries, that can pack quite a bit of damage. One great combination is to release a Slagstorm to clear the board, and sacrifice Full Moon's Rise to regenerate your army. Casting Moonmist during an opponent's attack phase will often leave them defenseless the following turn, allowing your transformed werewolves to wreck havoc. Kessig Wolf Run and Rancor give an extra punch to quickly take down prey. Descendants' Path will aid us in keeping more werewolves on the board as well.
SIDEBOARD:
No sideboard, the deck is used in casual games.
BUDGET:
I build every deck under a $100 budget, to be affordable for most casual players. While this removes many of the higher priced and sought after cards from my potential pool, it also forces me to be creative and look into a wider scope of cards. Occasionally I have a deck that exceeds this amount, either due to price inflation over time, or getting a few lucky pulls in packs that I opted to keep, and in those rare cases, I will attempt to annotate replacement options that would bring the deck back in line with this budget.
