My first time playing Rafiq. I am trying to avoid a voltron deck. I'd prefer a more casual mid-range beat down with ramp to get in to the mid-game first, and sufficient removal to keep real threats off the board.

Do you have any favorite common or uncommon cards in Rafiq? Other advice regarding my approach? Thanks in advance.

Notes on the format this deck is played in-Playgroup has started an alternate format for EDH to bring some casual back into our games from time to time. We have our broken or expensive decks already, and enjoy the occasional game without combo's or the same old bombs. Our ban list is based includes cards that are overpowered in our experience. It is a work in progress.
