My take on the Meren Commander Deck.

First my general rules: The deck itself is what I currently own and am running. The maybe board is really my "I want it" board. As I get the cards I plan on replacing the main board cards.

META: We are a fairly competitive beer and pretzel type of group. By this I mean that we all want to win but not at the expense of gimping an opponent. As an example we have banned the card that destroys all non basic lands from our group when one of our members runs an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger list.

I have noticed that when my commander gets burned early. I have a hard time coming back. I'm looking for a way to win without Meren or to achieve the same effect with other cards for redundancy.
