Equipment Mastery! (Bring BOROS in EDH)

Commander / EDH Aggro Allies Artifact Budget Multiplayer RW (Boros)

K1ngMars

Introduction

Hi guys, first and foremost I need to point out that this deck is revoleved around being budget, since for the most part I will be using leftover cards from the Invent Superiority deck that I bought sometime ago and other generally not extremely expensive cards (apart from some exceptions, due to the fact that I generally have access to low priced cards, but probably in your zone you don't).the focus of this deck is really simple: win very rapidly through Commander damage either from Akiri, Line-Slinger or bruse tarl, borish erder. The decklist of course supports for the major part Akiri, Line-Slinger, and sees bruse tarl, borish erder more like a support card, with the added bonus of being able to attack other opponents or replacing akiri if she gets inaccessible.

Mana base

The mana base is pretty budget and straightforward. I've included for obvious reasons also three of the artifact lands, because they synergize really well with Akiri, Line-Slinger's included Cranial Plating. There are also many utility lands usually never seen in commander, that have the disadvantage of producing only colorless mana: we kind of work around that thanks to the fact that most of the cards in the deck don't have any specific color requirement. In this category are included: Buried Ruin, Inventors' Fair, Rogue's Passage and Sunhome, Fortress of the Legion. The main multiple color lands are Command Tower, Ally Encampment (which works really good with our two commanders), Spire of Industry, which is more on the high end in terms of cost, but can still be cut out if needed and replaced with a basic land, and the budget taplands like Boros Guildgate and Wind-Scarred Crag. This means that we will rely more than ever on basic lands, which is not that big of a deal since we run Sword of the Animist.

Strategy and win conditions

As explained earlier the main strategy of this deck is to win through Commander damage. Since thanks to the partner mechanic we can have two commanders, we have a big advantage. Our predominant commander will be Akiri, Line-Slinger, which has really good keywords for and attacking creature, First Strike (that prevents her from getting killed when blocked), and Vigilance (that enures we are not open to damage from our opponents in the following turns).Bruse Tarl on the other hand is more of a support commander, that helps Akiri, Line-Slinger to murder people, while maybe attacking another opponent and lowering the time to kill at the table.

I've included numerous effects that provide evasion and protection for our commanders, such as, but not limited to: Champion's Helm, Darksteel Plate, Hammer of Nazahn, O-Naginata, Trailblazer's Boots, Sword of Vengeance and Tenza, Godo's Maul.

Gratuitous Violence, Iroas, God of Victory and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight allow us to close out games if we happen to get to mid-late game.

Final thoughts

I've described only the general interactions of the deck, which means that I didn't explain every card inclusion because I find obvious comments on card interactions boring and well... obvious.Nontheless, feel free to ask me about anything you think to be unclear, wrong, right... or make a good suggestion on something you think would be a great inclusion that I've missed. If you like what you just read, consider upvoting!

As always, happy brewing!
