The goal of this deck is pretty straight forward; make lots of tokens. It began life with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite at the helm, and even once Phyrexia All Will Be One dropped, she remained the commander. However, despite the fact that Mondrak, Glory Dominus is easily the more powerful card, people felt that it was less oppressive than Elesh Norn, and so the commander was switched out.
