(As this Saga enters the battlefield and after your draw step, put a lore counter on it and activate and/or enable the ability of tied to the required number of counters. Sacrifice it after you put a third lore counter on it.)

- Incubate 2 five times, then transform all Incubator tokens you control. (To incubate 2, create an Incubator token with two !/! counters on it and ": Transform this artifact." It Transforms into a 0/0 Phyrexian artifact creature.)

- Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain double strike until end of turn.

- Destroy all other permanents except for artifacts, lands and Phyrexians. Exile The Argent Etchings, then return this card to the battlefield (front face up).

Everybody knows being illiterate is the coolest, but it also means you can't read. This leads to things like putting Broadside Bombardiers into the deck even though Boast is bad poopoo garbage for us. We use good garbage around here!

Swapped out for Connecting the Dots.

In other news, Maskwood Nexus has been very fun, leading to interesting lines and interactions in every game it was played. Best one was against slivers making all my Goblins swole af, and then dodging The Argent Etchings  Flipboard wipe because they were Phyrexian Goblins too. I haven't yet grabbed a Purphoros, God of the Forge or a Toralf, God of Fury  Flip off of Moggcatcher or Goblin Matron because of the Nexus, but soon!

The Mana Value of The Argent Etchings  Flip is four.

202.3b The mana value of a transforming double-faced permanent or spell’s back face is calculated as though it had the mana cost of its front face. If a permanent or spell is a copy of the back face of a transforming double-faced card (even if the card representing that copy is itself a double faced card), the mana value of the copy is 0.

In short, once Elesh Norn  Flip flips over to The Argent Etchings  Flip and finishes its last chapter with Narci, Fable Singer in play, will Narci see the saga as having a costing cast of zero or four?

I believe the original intention was for Norn to be the ex post facto "leader" by essentially being a pronounced zealot toward The Argent Etchings, with Shelly, Jin and Vor basically being her tools. Each having their own unique way of going about their duties, but their duties being to serve Elesh Norn.

However, Urabrask sought his own true path, almost retaining an identity. Ultimately this is why he was recently killed.

The problem is, I think writers lost sight of this and forged identities and motives for Shelly, Jin and Vor. They never should have been fleshed out. That defeats their purpose.

Although, perhaps from a narrative perspective, it could be used to claim how and why they were able to be defeated. Because they lost sight of the bigger picture.
