I'm not sure why old Doran isn't popular anymore. Back when Khalia, Animar, and Ghave came out, he was a beast to behold. Now, he's barely even known about. So, let's get old School with Doran.

It's pretty simple. High toughness = High Damage. That's the entire gimmick, and you'd be surprised how many decks crumple to it. Just use your standard issue Commander cards, play be tough things, and stomp.
