We take a peek at Evelyn's hoard

This is my attempt to exploit Evelyn, the Covetous's ability. I've kept the land base to mostly swamps so that I can use that mono black ramp to play more things from everyone's decks. There's a few ways to cast at instant speed, a few non-black spells for the copy/blink things. I've kept the red out because my guess is the commander would work better with blue supporting it than trying to juggle three colors with a mono-black land base.

Early Game

Just ramp and try to hold off the vamps till Evelyn is out to get those drops. The only time I've seen wanting to play them early is as blockers or if you need something to put the Sword of the Animist on.

In this stage I'd probably tutor for a Extraplanar Lens or Swiftfoot Boots.

Mid Game

This is where I have no idea what the game is going to look like because there's going to be a lot of opponent's cards mixed in! Hopefully there's something like Leyline of Anticipation out so the cards can flow on other player's turns, and with a couple of ramp cards I'm hoping this will look a little crazy. I think a hard part is going to be keeping her out long enough to cast things I catch with her so playing a little slower start might make this phase last a little longer.

Late Game

Not too much over here other than vamps get big then smash or whatever you can grab from everyone else. At some point I'd like to see a game end with Rite of Replication and Malakir Bloodwitch!

It's been running better than I thought, but the lack of control and the slow curve is killing it a little. Tell me what you guys think!
