Hello! My take on a budget Grixis(UBR) mill deck. The fun little gimmick here is that every card in the deck costs less than $1 USD! (as of 7/24/2020 at least). The deck currently comes to $30.25 including shipping with an optimized cart on TCGplayer.

Introduction

I wanted to make something that was functional and cheap for those getting into MTG Commander that don't care for aggressive swinging decks, and is also easy to understand. The deck focuses almost entirely on milling, featuring fan favorites like Mind Sculpt and Thought Scour and filling your opponent's graveyards, with a little bit of drawing help and grave spell retrieval to keep the deck alive and reuse some of your favorite spells. Kess, Dissident Mage help tremendously with keeping the deck active since you can consistently reuse spells from your grave to continue on milling, and at an extremely low cost!

Milling - A lot of cheap, to the point mill spells to quickly deplete the opponent's deck and fill their graveyards.

Control/Counters - Cast away some of your opponent's spells, with some fun riders on your counters to further your milling motives.

• Damage from creatures via cards like: Sewer Nemesis, Wight of Precinct Six, Psychosis Crawler.

Final Thoughts

Any recommendations are extremely appreciated, as I would love to improve this deck as much as possible, but please remember the limitations that cards cannot cost more than $1 to be in this deck.

Please feel free to offer more expensive cards to replace current cards as I will be working on a bit of an upgrade section as well.
