So I made this list mostly just to goldfish a deck with Niv-Mizzet Reborn as commander. The cards are basically just a bunch of fun, budget two-color cards. I wanted to maximize the amount of hits I'd get with Niv's ETB to see how well it could work.

The answer is that it can work quite well. I have even included a few cards that flicker and at least one that lets you put Niv into your hand to cast him again. Sometimes you will whiff and hit a bunch of lands, but my thought on that is that at least you won't be drawing lands for the next eight turns. Also, I think a commander that just said, "When this creature enters the battlefield, draw two," would be playable, so having one that can get you five or six and give you some selection is great.

I am open to any and all suggestions for what cards to include or remove. As I said, these are sort of just fun two-color cards. All the basics are covered -- some removal, a few board wipes, card draw, ramp, graveyard hate -- but as far as winning goes the only "win con" is Maze's End which I just threw in for flavor. One possibility would be a landfall theme, since there are several cards already that bounce lands back to your hand. I'd probably swap out the guildgates for the bounce lands if I did that. That said, I'm open to any ideas.
